Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Confirmed For Xbox’s Second Game Showcase Thursday
Ninja Theory just confirmed that they’ll be showing off a “behind the scenes update” on Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 during tomorrow’s Xbox Showcase.

Xbox is hosting another games showcase tomorrow, which leads to the obvious question of what exactly they’re going to show that wasn’t already revealed during its E3 presentation? Well, host Parris Lilly has already confirmed chats with Double Fine, Obsidian, Ninja Theory, Rare, and more, so we can sort of work out whos’ going to be talking about what.
Double Fine will obviously talk about Psychonauts 2, which just got a release date, Obsidian will chat about The Outer Worlds 2, and Rare will either talk about the upcoming Jack Sparrow expansion in Sea of Thieves or Perfect Dark because we already know that Everwild is definitely out of the picture.
As for Ninja Theory, that’ll be all about Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. As stated by the developer’s official Twitter account, “Tune in tomorrow for a behind-the-scenes update on the development of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.”
It’s been a while since we last heard from Hellblade 2. The game was initially announced at The Game Awards 2019 with an absolutely stunning trailer made using Unreal Engine 5, and since then we’ve learned it’ll take place in Iceland and probably pit Senua against Vikings.
Beyond that, we’re likely to find out more about Senua’s Saga tomorrow when Ninja Theory takes the stage.
Besides Hellblade 2, the only other project going for Ninja Theory is Project: Mara, which was a codename given to the photo-realistic game that’s entirely set in a single apartment. Last we heard about Project: Mara was during a developer update earlier this year, so it’ll be interesting to see if there’s anything new to share on that game.
Meanwhile, ID@Xbox is hosting a giant free demo event where you can play up to 40 indie games right now, absolutely free. Or at least part of them–these are just demos, after all, but many of these games are already out on Xbox.
