For those of you who are into sneakers, and there seem to be a greater number of sneakerheads globally than ever before, there is a new drop that might register on your radar.

Those who are into videogames and collecting sneakers might get a little sweaty on seeing this latest drop. Xbox has teamed up with Adidas on a new collab for a sneaker celebrating Xbox’s 20th anniversary. Microsoft’s debut console launched in November 2001 in the United States and marked a new player in the console wars. What better way to celebrate this than a sneaker collab, of course.

The two companies have unveiled the Xbox 360 Forum Mid.

The latest drop is a more subtle design than their previous collab, which went very heavy on the Xbox green. That last sneaker was designed to celebrate the launch of Halo: Combat Evolved and the original Xbox, while the latest pair are focused on the Xbox 360, which came out in November 2005.

The Xbox 360 Forum Mid has a cleaner look, with a fresh white colourway, and more subtle Xbox detailing.

“With a plethora of visual throwbacks and Easter eggs that fans will love, the Xbox 360 Forum Mid is truly designed as a love letter to one of the most iconic consoles in gaming history,” the release notes read, on Xbox’s official website.

“Drawing inspiration from the original Xbox 360 console’s colors — white, silver, and green — the incredible details highlighted throughout the sneaker represent a playful celebration and nod to the vibrant history of Xbox.”

These visual throwbacks include the Xbox 360’s disc tray and 360-era Xbox button design seen on the shoe’s side and a heel that references the Xbox 360’s removable hard drive (lol). Those easter eggs are some “hidden secrets” – details in the design that fans can discover.

This limited release of the Xbox 360 Forum Mid is going on sale only in the US and Canada from tomorrow, November 4, at 7am PT on adidas.com.
