The Innsmouth Case is the newest game from developer Robot Pumpkin Games and publisher Assemble Entertainment. Set in the Lovecraft universe in the gloomy seaside fishing village of Innsmouth, you become the detective (not the one needed, but the only one available) tasked with solving the disappearance of little Tabitha Marsh. Sinister forces will cat-and-mouse you through this comedically scary visual novel where you’ll encounter nameless horrors, a list of harrowing and humorous characters, and a thrilling mystery with 27 possible endings.

When Tabitha Marsh vanishes mysteriously from the town of Innsmouth, her parents seek out the best detective they can find. Unfortunately, that detective is busy, so this missing person case lands on your desk. As you attempt to locate the missing girl, The Innsmouth Case will play out as a visual novel, the first creepy-yet-hilarious interactive text adventure of its kind.
Every decision you make has permanent in-game consequences, and The Innsmouth Case presents you with the options to make a lot of choices. As you venture through 21st century Innsmouth, you can meet and talk to more than 20 whimsical and eerie characters, including a curious femme fatale – Tabitha Marsh’s mother. Oh, and Hank. Just be warned, once you see Hank, you can’t unsee him.
Tracking the clues to Tabitha’s location leads you through many of Innsmouth’s menacing and wacky points of scenery, including the beach, the park, the harbour, the church, the lighthouse, and The Gilman Hotel. Just remember to stay alert, because not everything is exactly what it seems to be.
