Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy of Southern Charm have experienced a messy relationship onscreen. Friends and Bravo fans alike do not think the pair has what it takes to go the distance. Still, they seem unable to fully let their relationship go.

Austen and Madison first started dating during Southern Charm season 6. Madison, 31, is a single mom to her 7-year old son, Hudson. The mother of one married early at just 20-years old and became pregnant with Hudson two years later. Since her divorce from Hudson’s father, fans have witnessed her messy onscreen romance with Austen, 33. Rumors of a cheating scandal involving Austen and two women circulated at the onset of Southern Charm season 6. Videos revealed Madison questioning Austen after being caught with two women who seemingly spent the night. Madison made it known to Austen that she would take advantage of her hall pass to do anything with anyone of her choice as a result of Austen’s infidelity.

Despite their issues, by June 2019 a Bravo fan shared a screenshot from Southern Charm co-star Craig Conover’s social media story, where Austen and Madison were seen riding bikes together. Just a month later in July, it appeared the couple was indeed back together as they flirted on a trip to Colorado during Southern Charm season 6. They shared a playful hot tub scene after some time apart. Austen then admitted he slept with Madison while on the trip with their castmates. During the Southern Charm season 6 reunion in August 2019, Madison and Austen were off again and confessed they were no longer together. The pair may have still been in touch as friends with benefits, but the nature of their relationship was unclear. By October 2019, Austen and Madison’s status changed yet again. They shared a kiss on a Halloween Instagram post and showed up together for a party dressed as President John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe. See the post below:

During the Southern Charm: Mind Your Manners panel at BravoCon in November 2019, Austen hinted at a relationship with Madison once again. The King’s Calling Brewing Co. founder mentioned “This week, I’m doing well with Madison, so that’s good. Maybe next week will change, so I’ll let y’all know.” By March 2020, Madison and Austen posted a sweet Instagram post together. The pair was dressed in their best semi-formal attire for a wedding they attended as a couple. During the premiere of Southern Charm season 7 in October 2020, the pair revealed they were, indeed, back on.

That brings us to the present – November 2020. In an interview with ET, Austen defended his relationship with Madison despite concerns and clever setups from his friends. The onscreen drama between the rocky pair from Southern Charm is a never-ending cycle of confusion. At best, the connection between the on-again, off-again couple can be defined as complicated. We’ll just have to continue watching the season to see where this romance goes.
