The latest Star Wars show to hit Disney+ proved to be another smash hit for the franchise, which is hitting on all cylinders at the moment. The Bad Batch gave audiences a great opening season, with some wonderful characters to enjoy. Through Clone Force 99 and their allies, fans got to experience unique personalities, most of whom share the classic Star Wars trait of bravery.

Whether it be fearlessness in battle, a more emotional fortitude, or just sheer grit and determination, characters in the show from Clone Force 99 to familiar faces for The Clone Wars fans get a chance to showcase their bravery in The Bad Batch.

10 Cid

Star Wars The Bad Batch Characters Ranked By Bravery

Cid is not the type to go out and get her hands dirty. She differs from most Trandoshans, not showcasing a real bloodthirst, nor a need to go out and just violently hunt, kill, and fight people. Cid is calm in her demeanor.

Due to this, fans never really see Cid as a brave character. She is an informant and someone who hands out jobs for others to do, giving them payment and resources for doing so. She is hardly a coward, unafraid to voice her opinion, blackmail, or make sure people know she is the boss, but she does not showcase the courage of other characters in the series.

9 Wrecker

Wrecker is the source of a lot of comic relief throughout The Bad Batch but is also the group’s muscle. The guy to go in, kick-ass, rip apart some people, and leave. Wrecker is not as courageous as he looks, though.

With a fear of heights and an almost child-like mentality, Wrecker gets shown as being scared far more than anyone else in Clone Force 99. He will never back down from a fight and does things despite being scared, but he has a lot more fear compared to other members of the group.

8 Crosshair

Star Wars The Bad Batch Characters Ranked By Bravery

As the antagonist of the show’s first season, it is hard to comment on Crosshair’s bravery. Fans are still kind of in the dark about how long he was under the influence of the inhibitor chip. In terms of grit and courage, bad or not, Crosshair has them in abundance.

In hunting Clone Force 99, Crosshair is ruthless. He is obviously at the servitude of the Empire, but assuming he is telling the truth about removing his inhibitor chip, his fearlessness is something almost to admire. It can be argued he is a coward and traitor for staying with the Empire, and there is no doubt his bravery is less admirable because of it, but courage does not always need to be a good thing.

7 Tech

Tech is often the member of Clone Force 99 to stay behind. This is usually to help from a distance with his advanced skillset or to fix the ship, but that does mean fans see less of the inadvertently hilarious character in a fearless scenario.

Tech does not back down from a fight, of course. He will be there with his brothers battling whenever it is required. But with his genius and tech abilities, he usually better serves the group without violence. Tech is not fearful and afraid, will definitely voice his opinion, and will fight; he is only held back by how little fans see that side of him outside of his defying the Empire with the rest of the group.

6 Omega

In terms of heart, there is nobody in the show quite like Omega. She continued the trend of adoptive children/siblings (such as Ahsoka, Grogu, Ezra, etc.) being fantastic and courageous individuals with a lot of emotional resonance with fans.

Of course, the similarity between young Ahsoka, Ezra, and Omega is a child-like arrogance and an opinion that they are always in the right. This hurts their bravery, making it seem like stupidity at times. There is no doubt, though, that Omega will continue to be headstrong and spirited, as well as highly-skilled, becoming more loved by audiences and Clone Force 99 alike the more she appears in Star Wars.

5 Gregor

The appearance from Gregor in The Bad Batch helped answer a question or two from The Clone Wars and Rebels, and as he always is, the eccentric clone was a joy to watch. In his limited time in the show, fans saw a lot of bravery from the clone.

Gregor openly defies the Empire on his own, attempting to escape their Imperial facility. His independent thinking harkens back to the journey of individuality many clones go on in The Clone Wars. While fans do not see much of Gregor, his act of defecting from the Empire and presumably joining another fight with Rex is incredibly brave.

4 Echo

One massive negative of The Bad Batch’s first season was the treatment of Echo. He had the least to do and the most negligible overall impact of everyone in Clone Force 99 despite being the most established and arguably best character coming into the show.

That does not hurt the character’s bravery much though. Fans obviously do not get to experience it as much as they would have liked but the mental strength Echo has throughout the show as he deals not only with the changing times and fall of Republic but with his issues of fitting in and dealing with the alterations to his body is impressive. Echo arguably has more fortitude than anyone on the show, even if fans do not get to see enough of him in action, nor enough of his personal journey.

3 Hunter

The leader of Clone Force 99 and a character who does not appear to know the meaning of fear, Hunter, is a standout character throughout the show’s first season, with his relationship with Omega shining throughout. Other than Echo, fans do not really get to see different types of mental and emotional obstacles for the group, and they are all dealing with the changing Galaxy and the loss of their brothers.

The only time they seem to struggle is when they could lose Omega and when they do lose Crosshair, both of which hurt Hunter. All members of Clone Force 99 are brave in battle and in their going out into the Galaxy, but it is from Hunter where fans get to see that courage more than anyone else in the group. All members of Clone Force 99 except Crosshair left the Empire, openly defying them and going on the run, a courageous decision from the five modified clones who share that journey.

2 Cut Lawquane

Star Wars The Bad Batch Characters Ranked By Bravery

Cut Lawquane was a crucial and brave character in The Clone Wars, helping show audiences and Rex alike about the individual potential of clones and how bravery does not just come in fighting a war. Cut has a similar role in his one appearance in The Bad Batch.

Does Cut openly fight and engage in battle fearlessly? No. But, what he does is raise a family; he protects them and fights for them with all he has. Cut evades the Empire and, at all costs, transports his family to safety. It is not courage and valor in the face of an enemy, it is bravery in protecting his family and of his individuality.

1 Rex

Rex continued his record of being a brilliant part of Star Wars animation in his third new series after shining in The Clone Wars and Rebels. This post-Siege of Mandalore Rex is on a far different journey than what fans see of him in the other shows, though.

Rex is forming a resistance movement to strike back against the Empire. While Clone Force 99 spends most of the show evading the Empire, Rex actively makes strides to hurt them. He recruits Trace and Rafa Martez and is looking for others to recruit, including Gregor, Clone Force 99, and presumably Wolffe in the future. Fans know of Rex’s bravery from the other two shows, and The Bad Batch only improves his reputation.
