Like those movies, The High Republic will be an experiment. Another box office flop could prove fatal to the universe in the same way that Solo erased plans for a Boba Fett film. If the print stories are popular, though, and Lucasfilm takes a risk on visionary directors, The High Republic could change the face of Star Wars on film – and open the door to an entirely new galaxy.
