Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature four iconic playable characters, but it should consider adding lesser characters from James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad to diversify its roster and gameplay. Kill the Justice League takes place in Batman: Arkham’s universe, which has seen little story development beyond Gotham and Batman. Adding more playable characters could enhance the universe’s worldbuilding.

[Spoilers ahead For James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.]

The Suicide Squad film introduced over a dozen members of Task Force X, but many met swift and brutal deaths. Though Deadshot failed to appear, notable characters like Harley Quinn and King Shark played significant roles in the story. In addition, the movie killed off minor characters like Blackguard, Mongal, Weasel, and Javelin to establish its darkly comedic tone. Several of these villains posed significant threats in the comics, however.

Kill the Justice League’s existing playable characters – Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark – are strong starts for the game’s roster, but the following Task Force X members would make for interesting additions.

A Playable Weasel Would Give Kill The Justice League A Vicious Melee Attacker

Weasel was a running gag in The Suicide Squad, but he had a unique (and comedic) skillset. His merciless bloodlust previously resulted in the death of 27 children and earned him a spot in Task Force X. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League features King Shark, whose bestial nature is undercut by human-level intelligence and heavy weaponry, but Weasel could be a purely feral character with rudimentary intelligence and melee-based attacks. The Suicide Squad abandoned his combat prowess for comedic purposes, but combining clawing melee attacks with acrobatics could make Weasel an unexpectedly viable character for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Mongal Could Bring Enhanced Strength & Speed To Kill The Justice League

The alien warlord Mongal was a serious threat to the Justice League, alongside her brother, Mongul. After Superman dishonored their father, the two nearly killed him in combat. As a native of Warworld, Mongal possessed enhanced speed, strength, and stamina that allowed her to compete against Earth’s heroes regularly. In The Suicide Squad, her role was short-lived, but her powers could work well in Kill the Justice League.

Rick Flag Could Be Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’s Soldier Class

The Suicide Squad franchise is centered around DC’s villains, but Colonel Rick Flag rarely fits that description. In the comics, he was freed from Guantanamo Bay by Amanda Waller to command Task Force X in the field. His trauma from losing his squadron in battle helped him ensure the survival of the villains he worked with. Flag met an untimely death in The Suicide Squad but could be revived as a soldier-type character in Kill the Justice League. As the singular hero in a squadron of bad guys, Colonel Rick Flag would bring an engaging dynamic to the squad.
