Super Smash Bros. Ultimate introduces a boss fight against Castlevania’s legendary villain, Dracula. This guide will help players learn what it takes to defeat him. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the worlds best selling fighting game. This game brings together gaming icons from all reaches of gaming. From Super Mario to Solid Snake to Banjo Kazooie, it almost seems impossible to predict what characters and icons will be revealed for this series next. This fighting game pits characters together on various platformed stages where the goal is to rack up damage to knock enemies outside of the blasts zones. In the most recent entry, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it introduces a story mode called the World of Light. All the characters in the universe have been defeated by the mysterious Galeem, except for Kirby who happens to escape his blast. Kirby must then travel around the world to save his friends and the universe. Along the way, the player will unlock more playable characters and navigate worlds based on popular non-Nintendo and Nintendo locations. Also, the player will run into various bosses to face. Dracula is amongst one of the most to take down. This guide will help players defeat Dracula in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Fighting Dracula takes place pretty deep into the campaign. This fight takes place inside of the Dracula’s Castle Dungeon. At this point in the story mode, the player should have a decent amount of characters and spirits already unlocked. There are several spirits to battle in this location before reaching the final boss in Dracula’s quarters. Defeating Dracula is required in order to clear the castle and make one step closer within the Dark Realm closer to Dharkon. Navigate through the cannonball puzzle to make way towards Dracula. Once reaching Dracula, there are a few important preparations the player should make before beginning the battle.
How To Beat Dracula in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Before jumping into the fight, it might seem appropriate to pick either Simon or Richter for this fight as it fits the theme considering they’re from the franchise. Players can do this, but there’s a better character to pick in this situation. It’s recommended to select Donkey Kong for this fight. The reason for this is due to Donkey Kong’s fast and powerful movements. Donkey Kong can dish out large amounts of damage if done right. There are also three different spirits that will make this fight much easier.
- Geno: Set this as the primary spirit
- Great Fairy: Set this as the secondary spirit as it has the ability Critical-Health Healing, which will heal Donkey Kong in emergencies.
- Rathalos: Set this as the other secondary spirit as it increases the power of Air Attacks.
Once these spirits are selected, begin the fight. It’s important to mention that Dracula has multiple forms to go through, so mentally prepare for that.
As soon as the fight begins, do not approach Dracula. It’s likely Dracula will shoot fireballs straight at the player and these are difficult to avoid if the player if rushing at him. Also, Dracula’s active hitbox is only on his head. Aiming to attack his body does nothing. Wait and charge the Donkey Punch and save it for later. Once the move is over, rush Dracula and hit him with a Forward-Aerial. Due to the Rathalos spirit, this will do a massive amount of damage to Dracula each time it lands. The player can also hit Dracula with a Down-Aerial, but this is harder to hit, but also does more damage. When Dracula turns into a group of bats, run into one of the corners of the screen to avoid being hit. Once he stays still, attack him with another Forward-Aerial. Once Dracula starts to send red and blue orbs across the screen, run to the corner and properly block these to avoid being hit. The player then has the chance to hit him with another Forward-Aerial once the move is over. His last move in this phase will be similar to the first, but this time it will shoot pillars of fire from the ground. Roll away to avoid getting hit. Repeat this process until his first phase is over.
Once he’s defeated, he will go into his second form. As the second form animation is playing up, run up to him and fully charge a Forward-Smash but wait until the health bar appears for easy damage. From this point on, Dracula no longer follows a pattern, so play patiently and wait for an opening to hit him with Forward-Aerial. Although, when Dracula jumps, he’s left open for a bit, and this is a perfect chance to attack him. Keep this up until he’s defeated. Winning against Dracula will provide the player with his spirit, which players can equip. Dracula’s castle will fall to ruin and the road to the next area will open.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the perfect crossover gaming experience. Matchups like Bayonetta Vs Pichu is something that would only exist in excitable fan-fictions. There’s an unlimited possibility of matchups for this game. So much so, that a competitive mode exists for this game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was built to be a fun party game to bring people together but the fans put out competitive rulesets and tier lists to determine to best characters in the game. These tournaments pull in thousands of viewers for every major event. Also, the game continues to receive support with patches on characters and Fighter Passes as paid DLC. The first Fighter Pass introduced Joker, Hero, Banjo Kazooie, Terry, and Byleth. The next fighter pass will introduce 6 brand-new characters into the game, and currently, their identities are a mystery. The excitement comes from trying to predict which gaming icon will make their way into this gaming hall of fame. There seem to be no official rules on who can or can’t make it into the game. It’s basically a free-for-all at this point. Every new character reveal is like an event in the Smash community. Super Smash Bros Ultimate has a long and healthy life ahead of it.
