Temtem might be a Pokémon clone, but it changes things up compared to Nintendo’s monster-catching game. Combat, training, and even breeding all have tweaks to the classic Pokémon formula that takes out some of the randomnesses.
Breeding is especially easier compared to Pokémon. Whereas Pokémon breeding often relies on randomness, In Temtem, you can guarantee your results by following this simple chart.
We have Reddit users nicoplaynick and Dwizzle to thank for creating this handy infographic on Temtem breeding. It tells you exactly what to do in order to take your Temtem and eventually create one with perfect stats.
First, you’ll need at least 8 Temtem that you can breed together. Then, you’ll need at least 21 different DNA Strands in order to create the perfect Temtem. In case you’re new to Temtem breeding, DNA Strands ensure that the child Temtem will inherit specific SVs from the parents.

Also, the prices listed in the chart are no longer accurate as a recent patch has significantly increased the prices for every DNA Strand. You’ll need some pretty big bucks in order to create a perfect Temtem, so make sure you go into this with a lot of cash.
As you can see, each side of the chart starts out with different SVs that are perfect. On one side, you have Attack and Special Attack, Stamina and Vitality, while on the other side you have Defense and Special Defense, Stamina and HP. Applying specific DNA Strands to these breeding pairs means that the children will inherit the perfect SVs from each parent.
On the next tier, you’ll need to apply DNA Strands that provide two stats, and these are significantly more expensive than the first tier’s DNA Strands. Then on the third tier, you’ll need both breeding pairs to use these expensive DNA Strands, and on the final tier, you should have two Temtem that have mostly perfect stats. Just one more DNA Strand application and you have the perfect Temtem.
The chart also mentions Engineered DNA Strands for ensuring that the child Temtem gets the trait that you want. This can be tossed in if one of the sets of parents already has great SVs at a certain stage and you don’t care about your Temtem having absolutely perfect SVs.
Breeding the perfect Temtem will take a lot of time and money, so make sure you’ve got both before you start off on this journey.
