The premise of the show was pretty simple, focusing on a group of teenagers that grew up in the fictional town of Point Place, Wisconsin. The show was successful during its original run, but continues to get attention even after being off the air for over 10 years. The series has grown a huge fan base over the years, while the young actors on the show have grown up and become successful actors in bigger movies and TV shows.

25 The Star Wars Dream Sequence
Many popular movies and TV shows originated in the ‘70s. Among the most popular movies that is still getting sequels to this day is Star Wars. Star Wars originally came out in 1977 and was a cultural phenomenon.
It wouldn’t have been right for That ‘70s Show to ignore the movie, so it had Eric Forman be a huge fan of the movie. Not only does this fit in with Eric’s geeky personality, but it also provided a fun dream sequence during season 1 in the episode adequately titled A New Hope.
24 100 Episodes
In total, That ‘70s Show ran for exactly 200 episodes. Like any other TV show, the series had its good and bad seasons, but many people will agree that season 8 was among the worst simply because it wasn’t necessary.
Earlier seasons were much better and this image shows the cast gathering around a cake celebrating the 100th episode of That ‘70s Show. At this point, the cast likely had no idea when the series would end, but looking back, this is exactly the halfway point for the series.
23 Filming A Van Scene
Sitcoms are often filmed in front of a live studio audience, and that was the case for That ‘70s Show. Many sitcoms today also film in front of an audience that provides a laugh track for the scenes containing jokes.
While most of the show was filmed in front of an audience, some scenes were apparently filmed in a studio without hundreds of people watching. It isn’t known what episode or season the image above is from, but the image shows the set for a scene revolving around Kelso’s van.
22 Hugging It Out
When a cast is together as long as the cast of That ‘70s Show were, it’s likely that the actors and actresses will become extremely close. Just that seemed to happen on the set of That ‘70s Show and this picture is a great example of the cast goofing off together.
Wilmer Valderrama, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher can be seen in the image above making silly faces while hugging each other in front of what appears to be a Volkswagen Beetle. The cast members look to be in more modern clothes so it doesn’t look to be an on-set photo, but is funny none the less.
21 Kurtwood Smith On Set
Actor Kurtwood Smith had already made a name for himself in Hollywood long before he was cast in That ‘70s Show. Smith appeared in movies like RoboCop and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, but the actor is mostly known today for playing Eric’s dad, Red Forman on That ‘70s Show.
Red appeared in all 200 episodes of the show, but this behind-the-scenes photo shows Smith on set in front of the live studio audience. It’s almost impossible to know what episode this was from, but Smith seems to be enjoying his time on set.
20 Kelso Playing The Guitar
While it’s hard to find out which exact episode some of these set photos are taken from, this image came from the 21st episode of season 2 called “Kelso’s Serenade”. Released in the year 2000, the episode shows Kelso writing and playing a song for Jackie, only to have Fez swoop in to serenade Jackie.
This set photo from the scene shows Ashton Kutcher playing the guitar with Wilmer Valderrama standing next to him. Fun fact: Ashton Kutcher can actually play the guitar in real life and even has a song up on YouTube.
19 Hangin’ Out
The core cast of That ‘70s Show was putting in a lot of hours every day to film the show at a young age. While they likely had busy lives due to their early acting careers, they still seemed to find time to have fun on the set.

This image shows Mila Kunis, Wilmer Valderrama, Laura Prepon, and Ashton Kutcher standing on top of a double-decker bus, while Topher Grace hangs off of the side, hanging onto a bar. It looks like the gang was just as goofy in real life as it was on the show.
17 A Young Cast
Anybody who has done their research on That ‘70s Show knows that the core cast members were incredibly young when they started acting on the show. By the time the show came on the air, Danny Masterson was the oldest of the group at the age of 22. Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher were both 20, Laura Prepon and Wilmer Valderrama were 18, and Mila Kunis was merely 15 years old.

This set photo is another still of the cast that shows how young the actors were when they started on That ‘70s Show. All six of these actors continued their acting careers after That ‘70s Show, but for many of them, this was their first time in front of a camera.

This likely wasn’t on the set of That ‘70s Show since they are both wearing Abercrombie and Fitch shirts, which wasn’t founded until 1982. While there’s no way to tell, that fuzzy blob on the bottom left also looks like Danny Masterson’s hair.
14 Han, Leia, And Luke On Set
There were many references to ‘70s pop culture throughout the entire series of That ‘70s Show, but among the most prevalent was Star Wars. The original trilogy was released from 1977 to 1983, and an episode from That ‘70s Show season 1 focused on A New Hope.
During a dream sequence, Eric imagined he was Luke Skywalker talking to Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was actually his dad Red. All of the other characters appeared in the scene, including Donna as Leia and Hyde as Han. Kitty even showed up as an X-Wing pilot vacuuming with R2D2.
13 Fez And Kelso Getting Close
All of the cast members on That ‘70s Show have talked about how close they all became while on set. The image above shows Ashton Kutcher and Wilmer Valderrama giving each other a big hug. It’s hard to tell exactly where they are since the background is quite dark, but they appear to be in more modern clothing so it’s possible they aren’t on the set.
Wilmer Valderrama currently has a recurring role on NCIS as the character Nick Torres, but Kutcher seems to have taken a break from acting to focus more on being a venture capitalist.
12 An Old Kelso, Jackie, Donna, And Eric
Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Laura Prepon, and Topher Grace have all aged since their time on That ‘70s Show. Thankfully, none of the actors have even started to resemble the older versions of themselves that were present on That ‘70s Show. Jackie and Donna are talking about what it would be like if Donna married Eric. In Donna’s imagination, Eric is a rude husband who just wants to watch a boxing match and drink beer, and they have two kids who look just like Kelso and Jackie.
11 Topher Grace Eating Icing
When That ‘70s Show hit its 100th episode, the cast celebrated by having a huge cake designed like a Wisconsin license plate. This image comes from that celebration, since Topher Grace and Laura Prepon’s clothes are the same as the ones from the giant cake photograph.
It’s hard to tell what exactly Topher Grace is eating, but it is a safe bet that Grace swiped his finger across part of the cake and is enjoying a big glob of icing. With that in mind, this isn’t exactly a flattering photo of Topher Grace.
10 Eric’s Drunken Tattoo
The 22nd episode of season 3 of That ‘70s Show centers around Eric getting a tattoo to impress Donna. After he reads a page from her journal, he learns that she wants him to be more wild and dangerous, so he decides to get a tattoo on his behind while he is drinking with Fez, Hyde, and Leo.
Eric then dreams about how Donna will see him after she finds out he got a tattoo and imagines himself as Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. This behind-the-scenes photo shows Topher Grace looking straight into the camera as Laura Prepon holds him tight.
9 The Rock On Set
During the eight seasons That ‘70s Show was on the air, the show had a lot of celebrity cameos. Celebrities like Amy Adams and Joseph Gordon-Levitt still weren’t that popular by the time they came on That ‘70s Show, but actors like Billy Dee Williams, Betty White, and Dwayne Johnson were certainly known at the time.
The Rock made a cameo appearance in the first season for the episode “That Wrestling Show”. Dwayne Johnson is one of the most profitable actors today, but in the ‘90s he was enjoying his career as a wrestler.
8 Eric And Kelso Go Thrift Shopping
Throughout That ‘70s Show, the crew had to wear clothing that was entirely from the 1970s in order to keep the show looking authentic. While some clothing was probably made specifically for the show, other pieces were likely picked up from a local thrift store.
While we can’t say for sure, this image looks like Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher are going thrift shopping for clothes from the ‘70s. Grace’s outfit doesn’t look too bad, but most people would agree that a cowboy hat and sandals don’t go with a suit.
7 Hangin’ Out… With Kiss
There were several bands that were prominent in the 1970s. Rock bands like Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and Queen were incredibly popular in the ‘70s, but some rock stars even made appearances on That ‘70s Show.
Gene Simmons from Kiss appeared on the show in season 3, however, this behind-the-scenes photo was from a VH-1 special that combined the cast from That ‘70s Show with Kiss. While the event aired on VH-1, a special music video mashing up the cast from That ‘70s Show with the members of Kiss was also created.
6 That 2000s Show?
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when this photograph was taken, but the cast’s clothing choices certainly scream the early 2000s. Featured in the image are Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Danny Masterson, and Wilmer Valderrama. The cast is awkwardly standing in front of a green wall, likely for a photo shoot, but they aren’t in their ‘70s wardrobe.
Very little context comes with this image, but this could possibly be from the late ‘90s / early 2000s during the early years of That ‘70s Show. Thankfully, the cast dresses a little nicer today.
5 A Bunch Of Hooligans
In season 1 episode 2 “Eric’s Birthday”, Kitty and Red go across the street to the Pinciotti’s to leave Eric to hang out with his friends. When imagining all of the bad that could go wrong in their house, Kitty imagines the gang doing horrible things like not using coasters and making long distance calls.
During the scene, Eric is tied up and the rest of the gang wear some rather extravagant outfits. This behind-the-scenes photo shows the gang posing for a photo in some of the most interesting costumes they would wear all season.
4 Lindsay Lohan And Fez
That ‘70s Show had a lot of celebrity cameos, including one from Lindsay Lohan. Lohan is most known for being a Disney Channel star or for her movie Mean Girls, but she also made a guest appearance in season 7 of That ‘70s Show. She played a character named Danielle, who Kelso and Fez both fight over.
She didn’t appear in any episodes after that, but this behind-the-scenes image shows her posing with actor Wilmer Valderrama. Lohan doesn’t do a lot of acting anymore, but she was one of the more recognizable cameos in That ‘70s Show in 2004.
3 That ‘70s Show Goes To Vegas
With the huge success that That ‘70s Show saw very quickly, the cast of the show got to go to a lot of events they otherwise would have never been able to attend. One of these events was going to the 1998 Billboard Music Awards.
The young cast can be seen in the picture above being photographed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where the awards were held that year. The gang never went to Vegas in That ‘70s Show, except for Hyde when he married Samantha, but it certainly would have been an interesting episode to see.
2 A Cast Reunion
There are many behind-the-scenes pictures of the cast from That ‘70s Show, but there are also a handful of pictures showing the cast reuniting. Each member from the show has gone on to star in bigger projects and have moved on from the days of That ‘70s Show. With that in mind, the cast still gets together from time to time to hang out with each other.
This reunion photo actually comes from the set of the Netflix original The Ranch, which at the time starred Danny Masterson and Ashton Kutcher. Wilmer Valderrama starred on the show for four episodes, but Mila Kunis and Laura Prepon never appeared on the show.
1 Super Pals Unite
In season 5 episode 5, Donna gives Eric a man ring that the guys all make fun of. When imagining what kind of lame superhero would have to wear a man ring, Kelso drifts off into an imagination sequence that shows the gang as superheroes.
All of the superheroes make fun of Eric for wearing such an ugly ring, and Red even shows up as the villain Dr. Bald to make fun of Eric’s ring. The sequence is a couple minutes long, but this behind-the-scenes photo shows the cast posing for a photo with their fists together.
