We all know that Bachelorette Clare Crawley was into Dale Moss from the beginning, but what about Tayshia? Here’s what you need to know about her front-runner, Spencer Robertson.
This season’s Bachelorette has been all kinds of messy. Not only was the season delayed because of COVID-19, but rumors started flying a couple weeks into production that Clare had decided to quit the show. It was later revealed that Clare was engaged to contestant Dale Moss after only 12 days of filming. Tayshia was selected to take over as Bachelorette, but not much has been revealed about her journey for love. The same guys selected for Clare competed for Tayshia’s heart, but not many other details are known.
This week, Marie Claire wrote that Spencer Robertson got Tayshia’s first impression rose. Although this isn’t a guarantee that he’ll make it to the end, nearly all recent Bachelorettes have ended up with the man they gave their first impression rose to (the lone exception being Luke P. on Hannah Brown’s season). Spencer is a 30-year-old engineer from La Jolla, California. According to his Instagram, he currently lives in San Diego, not far from where Tayshia lives in Los Angeles. Although he is pretty private online, Marie Claire reports that he went to University of Oregon and graduated with a degree in chemistry. Tayshia actually has an interest in science as well, and worked as a phlebotomist before turning to interior design. Spencer currently works at his own company, Robertson Water Treatment, as the general manager. Other details gleaned from Instagram include that he has a strong connection with his family, and has one brother.
Spencer also shows his fun loving side on Instagram. He loves traveling and is a sports fan; he is a strong supporter of the Oregon Ducks. He’s also a former lacrosse player. Spencer’s college team shouted him out for making it onto The Bachelorette in an Instagram post, writing, “Our brother and veteran midfielder/leader Spencer is on The Bachelorette! These other dudes don’t stand a chance.” His lacrosse bio also indicates that he is 6-foot-2, which only enhances his good looks. You can check out his Instagram yourself, at the handle @spence_mon.
Spencer sounds like a great match for Tayshia on paper, with an outgoing personality, an interest in being active and strong family values. We’ll just have to see if he’s there for the right reasons.
