The biggest reason to farm gear right now though is that Beyond Light has once again raised the level cap, and getting all the way to the cap will require some very powerful equipment. Here are some activities that make it easier to get powerful gear:
- Deep Stone Crypt and Prophecy Raids – Most of the Raids in Destiny 2 only allow the player to acquire a one-time reward for their troubles, but these two raids are rare in that they can be completed as often as the player wishes. Additionally, both of these raids also give out high leveled gear as rewards as well.
- Master Lost Sectors – The Lost Sectors missions have always been a great way to farm items and gear, but Beyond Light has added in the new Master variant of these missions that make it even easier to farm exotic gear. A Master variant of Lost Sector will appear once a day and players can continue replaying it until they acquire the Exotic gear that they want.
- Empire Hunts and Nightfalls – These short missions are a great way to obtain new gear and upgrading materials. The upside to these missions is that they can add some much-needed variety to farming missions, but will allow players to acquire high stat armor and weapons, Ascendant Shards, and even Enhancement Prisms.
