Today was an interesting one in the world of video games, with CD Projekt Red announcing another patch for Cyberpunk 2077, Intel jumping into the GPU market, and the announcement of Blissey heading to Pokemon Unite later this week. Oh – and we at TheGamer officially kicked off Dragon Age Week, offering up a bunch of exclusive interviews and long-lost facts about the popular series.

Dragon Age Week Begins Today

Rainbow Six Siege Reveals New Operator

With a new season prepped for launch at the end of August, Ubisoft today shared details about Osa – a new Attacker heading to Siege. Osa will be the first transgender character to join the ever-growing roster, although writer Simon Ducharme says “who she is in the Siege universe is centered on her talents, her influence on Nighthaven, and her close friendship to Kali.”

Osa will bring a deployable tactical shield to the Attackers, which should provide them with plenty of new ways to put pressure on Defenders and quickly move in on their objective.

Far Cry 6 Producer Leaves Ubisoft After 26 Years

Producer Emile Liang has left Ubisoft to work on a start-up in Toronto that’ll focus on mentoring the next generation of game developers. Liang previously worked on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed Unity, and a variety of Far Cry games.

Abandoned Is Just Another Survival Shooter, Apparently

There’s been a lot of hoopla surrounding Abandoned since its announcement, but Blue Box Game Studios today put most of the rumors to bed. Speaking to NME, studio head Hasan Kahraman revealed that not only is the game not Silent Hill, but it’s more of a shooter/survival game than a horror title.

Kahraman also briefly spoke about the Realtime Experience, calling it “a really big disaster.”

Intel Announces Upcoming “Arc” GPU

We don’t know much about the upcoming GPU, but it looks like players will soon have another solid choice beyond AMD or Nvidia. The product will support ray tracing, AI-powered super scaling, and a bunch of other fancy tech. Expect to learn more about Intel’s GPU later this year, as Arc is slated to launch in the first quarter of 2022.

CD Projekt Red Teases Upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Changes

We didn’t get full patch notes, but CD Projekt Red today revealed a basic overview of changes coming to Cyberpunk 2077 with its next update. A full reveal is scheduled for tomorrow during a Twitch livestream. For now, we know that some GPS upgrades, changes to Cloud partner matching, and a new way to reset perks are on the way.

Blissey Heading To Pokemon Unite This Wednesday

Pokemon Unite is getting another support character this week in the form of Blissey. The announcement came with a short clip of Blissey in action, showing off its egg-throwing skills, dashing abilities, and – of course – its powerful healing attributes. The brief trailer also reminded fans that Pokemon Unite will be heading to mobile devices next month.
