The Rune Factory franchise has been silent since 2012, mainly because of the closure of development studio Neverland in 2013. It’s been a good few years since then, but Marvelous are bringing back Rune Factory with the fifth entry in the series. Members of the original development team return and they’re setting out to combine the magic of the Story of Seasons games with RPG action.

Much like Danganronpa, an entirely “normal” group of school children are taken and thrust into a fight for survival in a theme park based under the ocean. Horrifying, fascinating, and well worth playing.
