The Division 2’s first eight-man raid is set to become available this Thursday, with Ubisoft having announced as much on Tuesday.

The raid, called Operation Dark Hours, will go live at 9:00 AM PT, 12:00 PM ET, and 5:00 PM BST on May 16 and has been confirmed through a trailer and patch notes released by the developers.

Operation Dark Hours will be accessible to players who have already blown through DC and fought in Tidal Basin, but it should present a formidable challenge, as the Black Tusk mercenaries will have taken over the airport and are poised to strike with tech that gamers wouldn’t have taken on prior to this update.

Ubisoft claims that this will present the trickiest bosses in the game so far but it has promised some cool loot, including new gear sets and a new exotic weapon. However, there will be no matchmaking. Instead, players will have to team up by either inviting other players, their friends list, or through clan lists.

There are also grandiose plaudits to be had as well. The first team to complete the eight-man raid will have their pictures and team name put up in the in-game White House for all to envy.

“The first team to complete Operation Dark Hours after it goes live will be forever immortalized in-game by having their team photo and names displayed in The Division 2’s White House for all players to see,” Ubisoft states in the update’s launch summary. “All other players that complete Operation Dark Hours between May 16 and May 23 will receive a commemorative Arm Patch, while players who complete the raid after those dates will be rewarded with a clan banner icon and a trophy in their clan space.”

You’ll only be able to trigger this mission if you’ve reached the top of the progression ladder with Level 30, World Tier 5, and a gear score of 490. It begins at the White House’s helipad and players will be ferried to the Washington National Airport in groups of eight.

Ubisoft has also taken steps to ensure that Operation Dark Hours isn’t exploited for loot in it’s first few days by implementing a weekly timer. So, while you’ll be able to play the raid as many times as you want, you’ll only be able to claim loot from the bosses once a week.
