ZeniMax today announced that The Elder Scrolls Online: Deadlands DLC will be arriving on November 1, ending the year-long Gates of Oblivion storyline. Players on Xbox and PlayStation will need to wait a bit longer, as Deadlands won’t arrive until November 16.

For now, you can dive into the Deadlands Prologue quest on all platforms – a short questline that will set up the action heading your way in November. Mehrunes Dagon is close to taking over all of Nirn, and it’ll be up to you – and a few new characters – to stop that from happening.

“Experience the cataclysmic conclusion to the ‘Gates of Oblivion’ year-long adventure in The Elder Scrolls Online: Deadlands,” ZeniMax announced. “Explore new worlds, discover strange new allies, and foil Dagon’s plans to rule Nirn in this action-packed 20-hour finale.

“Those who’ve played The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will recognize parts of the Deadlands. The Burn is an area that sports molten rivers, flame-infused beasts, and towering metal spires. And never-before-seen in an Elder Scrolls game, players can venture into a new zone of the Deadlands called The Sever, a region with fierce storms and ferocious winds.”

Beyond the end to the Gates of Oblivion storyline, Deadlands will also bring the new city of Fargrave – which is being called, “one of the biggest cities in The Elder Scrolls Online.” This Daedric city is filled with a variety of shops, crafting locations, and is housed inside a massive skeleton.

If you’re not interested in paying for Deadlands, you’ll be happy to know that ZeniMax is giving Blackwood Chapter owners the option to earn the upcoming DLC for free. The Bounties of Blackwood event runs from September 30 to October 12, and you can learn more by checking out the official ESO website.

ESO: Deadlands will arrive on PC on November 1 and November 16 on Xbox and PlayStation.
