Now, you might still hold ambitions of being the very best like no one ever has, but you may as well just give up on that foolishness now. You too, Ash. Chen San Yuan has officially claimed that title, for now and forever.

When Pokémon GO first launched, it was a tough one to really commit to. It was darn popular through the sheer force of hype alone, but it was glitchy and the tracking was all kinds of shonky. As a result, many who hopped on the bandwagon early on didn’t stick around.

While Niantic’s shenanigans did little to ingratiate fans to the app early on, there’s no doubt that they’re working to turn things around. It’s been paying off, too, as we reported back in September: The game has been going through a real resurgence in terms of active usage of late.

More importantly, though, there are some Pokémon GO addicts whose dedication and enthusiasm never wavered. They’ve been catching ‘em all since July 2016, diligently getting those PokéStops visited streaks and Pokémon caught streaks. They’ve been here for the whole wild ride. Nobody else is quite on the level of Chen San Yuan, however.

As Nintendo Soup reports, the 70-year-old Taiwanese man first made news three months ago, when he stunned the world with his elite Pokémon GO setup: eleven smartphones rigged to a bicycle. Thus armed, he reported, he could defeat rival gyms without help. It also had the bonus of looking hilariously ridiculous.

Needless to say, most of us mere mortals have absolutely zero hope of ever even approaching this level. It was clear that Yuan was operating on a whole new plane of Pokémania. And his GO-bike wasn’t even his final form.

Behold the new, refined Yuan-machine. Bicycles? Who needs them? When your lust for GO just cannot be contained any longer, you’ve got to wear it on your actual body. All those smart devices rigged to your chest… it’s like being a walking NASA mission control.

As Nintendo Life reports, “Yuan clearly felt that the bike was getting in the way of his monster hunting, as he’s now moved to a full-body rig which allows him to access areas previously off-limits. He has 12 different handsets linked to this fearsome contraption, all connected to a backpack full of battery packs so he never runs out of juice.”

One thing’s for darn certain: no innocent roaming Pokémon is safe while this guy’s around.
