Chris Noth has been fired from The Equalizer television series amid two recent allegations of sexual assault following And Just Like That…’s premiere. Noth starred in The Equalizer as ex-CIA director, William Bishop. The series stars Queen Latifah, Tory Kittles, and Adam Goldberg.

As reported by Variety, Noth has been fired from the show, and will not appear in future seasons of the CBS crime drama. Noth will, however, appear in one more episode of the current season that had been filmed before the allegations, as well as any encores of previously aired episodes. Production companies, CBS and Universal TV, declined to offer any further comment on the subject.

The two sexual assault allegations against Noth were made by two women under the pseudonyms of “Zoe” and “Lily.” The allegations refer to two separate incidents, one in Los Angeles in 2004, and one in New York in 2015, with each woman separately approaching publications several months apart. The allegations were made public following the airing of And Just Like That…, a continuation of Sex and the City where Noth reprised his role of Mr Big in the first episode. Noth also starred in a Peloton advertisement inspired by events depicted in the first episode. The ad, which was just released last week, has since been removed by Peloton. Along with his firing from The Equalizer, it was also reported last week that Noth has been dropped by his talent agency.
