The Pokemon Company Launching Quick Ball And Three Other Premium Poke Balls For Trainers To Collect

Look, many Pokemon fans wish we lived in an actual Pokemon world and while Pokemon Go has somewhat helped us on that quest, we still need things like real-life poke balls. We just do. This is not up for debate.

The Pokemon Company International and The Wand Company have previously teamed up to release premium replicas of the Poke Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Premier Ball, which came out last year. These hefty replicas were made of die-cast metal, with proximity-sensing features that lit up the ball and changed colour. Of course, many would-be trainers might’ve thought these balls could be thrown, but alas owners were expressly informed never to throw them. Now, more poke balls are coming.

This year, a further four more balls are due to drop. Throughout 2022, collectors can expect replicas of the Heal Ball, Friend Ball, Quick Ball, and Cherish Ball. Trainers in the US and UK can now preorder the first replica coming out in the new series, which is the Heal Ball. Pokemon Center is the online store to head to for that. The other three balls – the Friend Ball, Quick Ball, and Cherish Ball – can be purchased at the Pokemon Center a month before the replicas are sold at other retailers.

The Heal Ball can be preordered for $99.99 and buyers are limited to four, and the sale page says the item is expected to ship in “early April”. The Heal Ball also weighs 1.3lb, so it might make a very handy paper weight too. Each die-cast poke ball replica produced by The Wand Company comes with motion-sensing and multicolored lights, a numbered presentation case and a stainless steel ring to display it. “For an extra touch of interactivity, pressing the button initiates a Pokemon-catching light sequence,” the product description reads.

The Heal Ball in the Pokemon games instantly and fully heals any ‘mons caught with it, and was introduced in the Sinnoh region in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Although collectors won’t be healing any Pokemon with this replica, it is a rather fetching colour.
