This week’s episode of TheGamer Podcast features some invigorating discussions on Deathloop, NBA 2K22, Skatebird, and Lost Judgment. As always, the podcast is hosted by Eric Switzer, and featured guests include Kirk McKeand, Dave Aubrey, Stacey Henley, Sam Watanuki, Meg Pelliccio, and Jade King. The podcast is available now on Podbean and Apple Podcast.

For the first segment of the show, Eric is joined by Kirk McKeand and David Aubrey to discuss Deathloop. In Kirk’s review, he says the game is “one of the most interesting triple-A games in recent memory and you owe it to yourself to play it,” so you can check out more of his and Dave’s thoughts on this. Generally speaking, the reviews for Deathloop have been outstanding, as many leading sites have given it a perfect score.

In our next segment, Stacey Henley jumps into the mix to discuss NBA 2K22. Though she admits that the game is great when you’re actually playing basketball, she explains how it ironically doesn’t want to be a basketball game and how that draws away from its good qualities.

Up next is our segment featuring Sam Watanuki, who discusses Skatebird. While he holds that the game is simple and fun, he discusses that it’s markedly worse to play on the Nintendo Switch than on the PC. Sam also explains the similarities and differences between this game and other skateboarding games, such as Tony Hawk Pro Skater.
