Gearbox has just announced that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the upcoming spinoff inspired by the Borderlands 2 expansion Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, has gold. And almost two full months before its intended release date, too.

As we all know, going gold doesn’t really mean a whole lot these days. Gearbox will still keep developing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, squashing bugs, and improving its gameplay elements right up until it releases on March 25. But with practically two months between going gold and its street date, it’ll probably have a pretty hefty day-one patch. That’s not necessarily bad, it’s just the way the business works.

We got plenty of information about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands thanks to some teaser videos. The most recent one showcases the Graveborn and Spore Warden classes, which essentially seem to be Wonderlands’ versions of the necromancer and ranger. The Graveborn likes skeletons, bones, and has a little demi-lich companion floating around. It can also fuel high-damage AOE spells using its own health.

Meanwhile, the Spore Warden does typical archer things while also being a master of nature. Expect Spore Wardens to summon animal companions and buff allies with helpful spells. Oh, and shoot things with a bow. That too.

Keep in mind that you’re not limited to any of the classes in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands as multiclassing is a thing. You can start your journey as a Graveborn and then decide to start taking points in Spore Warden–the choice is yours.

If you can’t wait for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands to arrive, PlayStation fans have the option of playing Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure. That’s the standalone game that’s based on the Borderlands 2 expansion which inspired Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. There’s not as much magic and spellcrafting as Wonderlands, but there are plenty of knights in shining armor, dragons, and shotgun swords. That’s a shotgun that shoots swords. It’s really good. You should try it.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is out on March 25, but you can play Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep for free courtesy of PlayStation Plus.
