Did you spot Toy Story 4’s Pizza Planet truck Easter Egg? The fourth Toy Story movie arrived in a flurry of hype and concern over whether the new addition would spoil what is widely considered to be a near-perfect cinematic trilogy. Fortunately, critics have widely praised the movie for its story, humor, and satisfying emotional arc. The film sees Buzz, Woody, and the gang together again as they deal with their new kid Bonnie’s struggles with kindergarten, the arrival of a spork turned toy in the midst of an existential crisis, and a road trip adventure that reunites them with a familiar face.

The film offers much nostalgic joy for Pixar fans young and old, as well as a few Easter eggs to spot. Anyone familiar with Pixar will know about the studio’s tradition of hiding one iconic vehicle in almost every movie they make. The Pizza Planet truck, first seen in Toy Story way back in 1995, has made fleeting cameos in every Pixar title aside from The Incredibles. Spotting the Pizza Planet truck is as much a tradition of Pixar movies as the John Ratzenberger voice cameo or the A113 inside jokes (the figure refers to the classroom used by graphic design and character animation students at the California Institute of the Arts, where various Pixar and Disney animators got their start).

So where is the truck in Toy Story 4? If you were scanning the highway on the road trip looking for one driving past Bonnie’s family, you were going about it all wrong. The Pizza Planet truck in Toy Story 4 appears as a tattoo on the ankle of a surly carnival worker voiced by Bill Hader, who makes his first appearance when he picks up a seemingly abandoned Buzz Lightyear and ties him to his booth as a potential prize for players of his rocket shooting game.

This is a bit of a different form of Pizza Planet truck Easter egg, which more often than not appears in its natural state (with some creativity for pre-vehicle movies like Brave and The Good Dinosaur), but that only makes finding it all the more fun.

The Pizza Planet truck isn’t the only Pixar related Easter egg to be found in Toy Story 4 either. Keep an eye out for an appearance of the gas station Dinoco from Toy Story, the grape juice bottle cap that Carl Fredricksen wears as a pin in Up, a Coco vinyl record, and a possible appearance from Boo from Monster’s Inc!
