Learn how to have a perfect day in Twelve Minutes, otherwise know as the Groundhog Achievement. As the name suggests, this achievement is a reference to the Groundhog Day movie, and it requires that everything go perfectly in a Twelve Minutes loop. It is not an achievement that can be earned without first having run a couple of loops. Be sure to complete the first playthrough to get a better understand of how Twelve Minutes works.
Before the Groundhog Achievement can be earned, players will have to learn Bumblebee’s phone number. Bumblebee is what the cop calls his daughter and in order to learn her number, the wife will have to be knocked out with sleeping pills in her water. She has to drink the mug while eating dessert, otherwise, she’ll pass out too early. After the wife lays down for a nap, head over inside the closet and close the door. The cop will enter the apartment shortly thereafter, become knocked out after he turns on the light, and then he must be pickpocketed. Use his phone to call Bumblebee, and her number will be remembered in the next loop. The cop will still need to be convinced that the wife is innocent in this Twelve Minutes ending.
Now that Bumblee’s number has been acquired, the perfect day can happen. If at any point any of the information below has been done too early, a new loop has to be started. As soon as a new loop begins go into the wife’s purse and pull out her phone. Call Bumblebee, and choose the option “Tell her why her father is really doing this.” Bumblebee will call her dad soon, and the conversation ends. Walk out into the living room and kiss the wife, and listen to her talk about dessert.
How to Unlock the Groundhog Achievement in Twelve Minutes
Continue this time loop of Twelve Minutes by grabbing the mugs near the couch and counter. Fill both of them up at the sink, open the fridge and grab the dessert plates. Tell the wife that it is a great time for dessert. She’ll walk into the bedroom to grab the present, and now the mugs and dessert plates can be placed on the table. Do not begin eating. Kiss the wife again when she returns with the present. She’ll turn around and turn off the light, turn on the radio, then return to the table to begin eating. Once she begins eating it is okay to sit down and eat.
Shortly after, the wife will give her husband the present and share that she is pregnant. Select “It’s going to be great” when she asks how her husband is feeling. She’ll kiss her husband and ask him to dance, so select “With pleasure.” The cop will arrive in the middle of the dance, but unlike his intrusion in other loops, Bumblee will call him and ask him to come home. During this loop, do not try to prove the day is restarting in Twelve Minutes.
Let the dance finish, and when the wife asks why her husband is acting differently select “Tell her how much you love her.” She’ll lead her husband to the bedroom and after some cuddling, a new loop will start – and the Groundhog achievement will be unlocked.
