The Adventures in Moria scenario kits are finally available for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games.

The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game was originally released in April 2011 by Fantasy Flight Games. It is a Living Card Game deck-building game, but unlike other tabletop games like Magic The Gathering that relies on blind starters and boosters, the expansion sets released for LotR:TCG are of fixed contents. The core game comes with several prebuilt decks as well as a series of adventures that can be played solo or cooperatively by up to 4 players. Chronologically speaking the game was originally set between the 17 years of Bilbo leaving the shire and Frodo following him. However, later expansions have extended this to cover the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings novels.

The two new scenario kits take place in Moria and are compatible with each other. The first scenario kit, The Mines of Moria, sees players enter the Mines in search of the secrets that have called them to the west gate. Escape From Khazad-dûm is the second scenario kit and finds our heroes lost deep within the mines looking for a way out. Both Scenario Kits contain seven quest cards and 70 encounter cards that give plenty of unique combinations to overcome. Players can work together to beat these challenges, or work against each other in a race to finish in competitive team mode.

As both Scenario Sets are flagged under the Adventures in Moria moniker they can be combined with each other to provide even more opportunities. While the quest cards can not be mixed, the encounter cards can give those escaping Khazad-dûm the opportunity to face the challenges that would ordinarily be found deep within the mines of Moria.

Both sets are available now, but are currently showing out of stock on the FFG web page, along with several other LotR:TCG titles, this will be down to shortages caused by the recent pandemic and we are confident that stock levels will return to normal soon. In the meantime, your best bet for grabbing a copy is to check your local games stores for availability. Both sets are priced at $14.95.
