Pokémon Sword & Shield will release on November 15th, bringing along new Galarian and Pokémon forms. Sword & Shield’s Galar region also introduces the new Gigantamaxing feature, allowing certain pokémon to take on Godzilla-like forms.

This article has compiled a list of confirmed Galarian and Gigantamax forms alongside recent leaks, revealing the long-speculated Gigamaxed Lapras. Several other Pokémon are now expected to receive a Gigantamaxed form, too.

Confirmed Galarian Forms

A slew of new Galarian Pokémon will release with Pokémon Sword & Shield, however, this list focuses solely on previous generation pokémon receiving new Galarian forms.

Zigzagoon

Galarian Zigzagoon are the oldest line of Zigzagoon, as well as the feistiest. As natural instigators, they joyously provoke battles and quickly anger if they don’t get a reaction. This Dark/Normal-type menace has overrun the Galar region.

Linoone

Even bolder and more rash than the Galar region’s Zigzagoon is its evolution, Linoone. Attaining speeds upwards of sixty miles per hour, they pack a devastating punch capable of launching cars.

Obstagoon

Galarian Linoone have adapted a Galar-exclusive evolution due to extreme habitats and stiff competition with their own kind. Unlike its pre-evolution, Obstagoon prefers taunting enemies into initiating combat. Then it responds with its counter move, Obstruct.

Weezing

Galarian Weezing has turned into a pollution refinery, inhaling smog and pumping allegedly clean fumes back into the atmosphere. However, its new soot color and factory towers spewing smoke are a foreboding appearance.

Ponyta and Rapidash

Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash are psychic-type pokémon as opposed to their Fire-type counter-parts. They’re the embodiment of baby and adult unicorns, with manes and tails sparkling in accordance with the surrounding energy. They are said to have adapted this appearance through an abundance of life energy received from a particular forest within Galar.

Sirfetch’d

Farfetch’d’s long-awaited evolution has manifested as the Fighting-type Pokémon Sirfetch’d. As a Pokémon held in high esteem in the Galar region, it conducts itself nobly in battle. The leek Sirfetch’d wields as a lance stays with it throughout its battling career. When the leek finally wilts, the Sirfetch’d graciously retires from battling.

Most importantly, Sirfetch’d is the only Pokémon that can learn Meteor Assault. Aiming its leek and charging the opponent, this move has catastrophic effects, taking a lot out of the Sirfetch’d too; he will be unable to act immediately the next turn.

Confirmed Gigantamax Forms

Gigantamax forms come with special G-Max moves, which will be listed with the corresponding Pokémon below.

Meowth

A lot is happening for this coin-obsessed cat in the Galar region. It has also acquired an elongated Gigantamax form, which is only available to trainers who buy Pokémon Sword & Shield before January 15, 2020.

G-Max Gold Rush: Meowth’s Normal-type moves will convert to this G-Max upon Gigantamaxing. The special move causes damage and a deluge of coins, providing a serious in-game cash bonus.

Butterfree

G-Max Befuddle: Butterfree’s Bug-type attacks convert to Befuddle, causing damage along with a possibility of three status effects. The scales Butterfree disperses with this move cause rivals to become poisoned, paralyzed, or make them fall asleep.

Eevee

G-Max Cuddle: Normal-type moves will take on this ability while Gigantamaxed, causing damage while also infatuating Pokémon of the opposite gender.

Pikachu

Pikachu and Eevee’s Gigantamax forms could correlate in some way with their Let’s Go! titles.

G-Max Volt Crash: Electric-type moves will be replaced with Volt Crash during Gigantamxing, causing damage and paralysis.

Charizard

Gigantamaxed Charizard has been confirmed, but strangely there are only rumors of Gigantamaxed Venusaur and Blastoise.

G-Max Wildfire: Taking the place of Fire-type moves, Wildfire causes massive damage and burns all non-Fire-type Pokémon for four turns.

Alcremie

G-Max Finale: While Gigantamaxed, Fairy-type moves will cause damage to enemies and heal all allied Pokémon.

Corviknight

G-Max Wind Rage: Replacing Flying-type moves, it will damage an opponent while also whisking away any of protective debuffs, such as Reflect or Spikes.

Drednaw

G-Max Stonesurge: This Gigantamaxed Water-type move damages the opponent while simultaneously scattering sharp rocks, hampering all opponents who join the battlefield.

Recently Leaked Galarian Forms

Most recently, it seems that the entire Galarian Pokédex was leaked, giving a juicy look at several more Galarian forms and new evolution lines.
