With the recent release of Act 2, Riot Games’ Valorant introduced a new Battle Pass, a new Ranked System, Deathmatch Mode, and most importantly, a new agent, Killjoy. While it might be a little difficult to figure out where exactly Killoy ends up in the new meta, she definitely is a fun agent to play with.

However, beginners may find Killjoy a little difficult to play, as she has to constantly be aware of enemies and set up traps using abilities (much like Cypher). So, here is every agent, ranked from easiest to play with, to hardest.

12 Reyna

Reyna is a duelist, and perhaps the easiest agent to play with. Her abilities are extremely easy to use once players get the hang of it. Her Leer ability casts an eye that blinds all the enemies in the line of sight, while her other ability, Devour, heals her, after every kill. Her ultimate ability is also very easy to use.

Her signature ability, Dismiss, makes her intangible after every kill, which is what makes Reyna a good entry fragger. She can cast her eye, kill blinded enemies, and become intangible and escape without being traded.

11 Brimstone

Brimstone is a Controller, who uses his smokes to block LOS. Brimstone is another agent beginners will have no difficulty playing with, as his smokes are extremely easy to use, as they can simply be marked on his tactical map. His area-denial, molly ability has some easy-to-use lineups as well.

Brimstone’s ultimate, Orbital Strike, is perhaps the easiest and most powerful ultimate in the game and can be used for both post-plant as well as area denial situations.

10 Raze

Raze is often called the “noob-friendly” agent, as her abilities allow her to score easy kills. Her grenade is capable of killing the enemy in seconds, and her boom bot is a great way to scout for information. Her Ultimate is also very easy and powerful (which is also why it got nerfed in the last update).

The only learning curve for Raze mains is her movement using blast packs, which can be a bit difficult to execute properly, but she’s still one of the easiest (and most fun) agents to play with.

9 Phoenix

Phoenix is another duelist who is well suited for entry fragging. His abilities include a flash that blinds all players, even allies, so Phoenix mains have to be careful while using it. He also has a molly, and a LOS blocking fire wall, both of which also heal him.

Phoenix is a little difficult to play with since his flashes can blind allies and his fire wall can be a bit difficult to get the hang of, especially when curving the wall. However, Phoenix is a great agent that can ensure easy kills if used right.

8 Sage

Sage is an essential agent to have on every team since her healing and area denial abilities are extremely important. Sage mains are completely team-oriented players and are expected to not only kill enemies but also heal and support allies.

Being a Sage is a huge responsibility and is thus not for everyone. Her abilities, while easy to use, are completely team-oriented (Sage can heal herself but often needs to heal other agents at low health), which makes her a little difficult to play with.

7 Jett

Jett is widely regarded as one of the worst agents in the game and is almost never picked in high ELO games. Her abilities are pretty useful but aren’t very effective. Her updraft makes a very loud sound that always tips off her enemies to her position and her smokes don’t last more than a few seconds.

Jett mains are good AWPers since they can easily escape in case of a push or missed shot, but overall, Jett doesn’t contribute much to her team and is quite difficult to get value out of.

6 Breach

Breach is an initiator with many useful abilities like his flashes, an aftershock ability that can kill campers, and a seismic wave ability that disorients enemies.

Breach’s abilities can all go through walls, and so only players who are really experienced with the maps and its corners and hiding spots can make full use of him. Besides this, most of his abilities except flashes are single charge only, which often might get wasted by a beginner.

5 Cypher

Cypher is a Sentinel, like Sage, and is most useful during defending as he can stop pushes with his tripwires and cages, and watch for flanks and set up traps for enemies.

Cypher is a little complicated to play with since his abilities require him to have a great game sense and multitask constantly – putting tripwires, activating cages, watching with his camera – but is definitely an essential agent for every team.

4 Killjoy

Killjoy is the latest agent to be revealed in the game. A sentinel class agent, she is pretty much a combination of Raze and Cypher. She has a turret that lets her know about the location of her enemies and a molly that can be activated from anywhere on the map.

She also has an alarm bot that explodes and makes enemies vulnerable to double damage. Much like Cypher, a Killjoy main needs to be constantly vigilant and multitask, which makes her a little tough to play.

3 Omen

Omen is perhaps the most “big brain” agent in Valorant and is very difficult to play with. His blind ability, while very powerful, is a single charge only, and his teleport is quite difficult to pull off effectively.

Omen players constantly need to be aware of where enemies are and use their smokes and teleport to trick enemies and keep them guessing about his position, which makes him one of the hardest agents to play with.

2 Viper

Valorant Every Agent Ranked (From Easiest To Use To Hardest)

Viper is generally considered one of the weakest agents in the game, and even though Riot has been rolling out buffs for her with every update, she still has the lowest pick rate in higher ELOs.

Viper’s abilities have lineups that are difficult to pull off, such as her Toxic Screen lineups on Split and Snake Bite lineups on Haven. Viper is a powerful agent regardless of Attacking or Defending but is unfortunately difficult to play with.

1 Sova

Sova is one of the powerful agents in the game, but unfortunately is also the toughest to play with. Sova’s utility set is all about information – he has a drone that can tag enemies and arrows that reveal enemy locations.

However, his arrows have complex lineups that need to be learned, and there’s a good chance a beginner Sova will get killed while using his drone. His Ultimate is also difficult to use, but extremely powerful in the hands of an experienced Sova.
