Designed out of a passion for classic gaming, Vampire’s Fall: Origins is a tactical open world that has earned its place outside the realms of mobile and Steam. Early Morning Studio announced that its dark fantasy RPG will be releasing on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this Fall.

Flaunting its gothic, turn-based combat within the vast scope of an open world RPG, Vampire’s Fall: Origins looks like a thrilling 2D throwback. Set within a medieval world, where an evil Witchmaster has devastated the Vamp’Ire village, players will control a newborn vampire tasked with revenge. The main objective is to eradicate the Witchmaster and the dark magic that follows it. Exploring the expanse of the game’s open world, your vampire will be subjected to a series of quests and NPC encounters that features some snappy dialogue.

Early Morning Studio founder Emir Kuljanin once stated that Vampire’s Fall: Origins was the team’s “tribute to classic RPGs,” that features various formats from point & click to platforming. Kuljanin also announced that due to the encouraging feedback from mobile and PC players, the Swedish trio from EMS were excited to announce the game’s move to consoles, that would broaden the game’s fan base.

The Nintendo Switch announcement trailer gave us a glimpse of the game’s vast and ancient map, character customization, isometric exploration and platforming combat. The inventory has a classic point & click format that will be home to an authentic assortment of weapons, armor and magical items. Accompanying the main story will be a coffin full of side quests, that will add to character progression as well as your knowledge of the world around you.

Origins also has a PVP option to showcase your vampiric skills against other blood-drainers, and a community-driven tournament to contest the best. Inspired by Diablo and Baldur’s Gate, an in-game chat allows players to ask for help, flaunt a recent victory, or spend time with the rest of the community. With endless exploration, collectibles, tournaments and community chit-chat, it’s easy to see why Origins was a success, and who doesn’t love vampires?

With over 100 different monsters to encounter and 150+ unique weapons and armor to collect, Vampire’s Fall: Origins stays true to the dev’s word, by promising classic gameplay with classic monsters.
