After finally winning a Pokemon League, Ash Ketchum is gearing up for the World Coronation Series in Pokemon Journeys by building his best roster ever. In this video, we’re going to go through just who should be on Ash’s team to help propel him to victory once again.
We’re starting off with Pikachu, who has been with Ash since the very beginning of the series. Not only is Pikachu Ash’s best friend, but he’s also the Pokemon franchise’s mascot. While some might say Pikachu — because he has not evolved into Raichu — isn’t the best choice for Ash’s team, those critics are wrong. One of the longest-standing plot points of Pokemon is Team Rocket’s desire to steal Pikachu because of his incredible power, which has allowed him to beat down some powerful opponents over the course of the series.
That being said, Pikachu is only likely to get more powerful as the series progresses, especially since Gigantamaxing plays a role in Pokemon Journeys. The powerful transformation allows a Pokemon to get a size and powerboost, and Pikachu has been able to use this ability. However powerful Pikachu was before Pokemon Journeys pales in comparison to just how strong he is now, proving the hero’s best days are still ahead of him, and that he’s still one of the best on Ash’s team.
