Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is getting closer to being released as we get more details on the upcoming sequel to the cult horror game. We last read that the new installment would follow two cases that would be somehow linked to the overall mystery that takes place in the story. Some new information has surfaced, revealing some side quests that players can take part in while delving into the main story. One of these side quests includes skateboarding like Tony Hawk.

The sequel to Deadly Premonition will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch next month as we tackle another mystery with horror elements. Taking place in two timelines, the game goes back and forth between 2005 and 2019, as it focuses on two pairs of officers involved in two cases that are somehow connected. Players control Special Agent York in 2005 and FBI agent Aliyah Davis in 2019 as we go from the swamps of Louisiana to the center of Boston.

It’s not all gloomy when you’re busy investigating corpses as the game will also be filled with many side cases to tackle. Players controlling York can check out all the locales throughout the area like the swamp, bowling alley, and even the skate park. That’s right, you can try your hand at doing ollies and kickflips with a skateboard to rival the legendary Hawk. According to the official site of developer Rising Star Games, you can try your luck to beat the clock doing as many tricks as you can while you skateboard around town.

Skateboarding around the outback of Louisiana seems like a good way to check out the many places around the game. This along with the other optional activities make up all the things you can do in the game if you want to take a break from solving the main story’s mystery. The previous game has also been filled with sidequests like throwing darts, racing, fishing, and even just smoking cigarettes to pass the time.

Look out for Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise when it drops on the Switch on July 10.
