What’s the status of Kingdom season 3? The South Korean zombie series premiered on Netflix in January 2019 and immediately became a breakout hit. Kingdom season 2 then jumps ahead seven years for a couple of big reveals.

In the Kingdom season 2 finale, the Crown Prince fakes his death – at least in relation to history records – so that the Queen’s alleged son can become the rightful heir. When Chang and company set off on a recon mission in the north, they discover a mysterious woman who has been keeping zombies alive. They also learn the Chinese may be selling seeds from the resurrection plant; a potential plot to overthrow the King, which could be explored in Kingdom season 3.

Kingdom Season 3 Renewal

Netflix hasn’t officially ordered Kingdom season 3. Given that the first two seasons took well over a year to produce, it makes sense that new episodes haven’t been announced, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a serious worldwide problem.
