Now that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has released, fans are already looking ahead to the future. Activision has been a bit quiet in regards to DLC for the game, but some new cosmetic content has already released. More DLC for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 should be on the way, although whether it’s purely cosmetic or new levels remains to be seen. Thanks to some of the latest fan theories out there, the secret to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s next bit of downloadable content could be in the game already.
The Tony Hawk games are part of an incredibly successful skateboarding series that are fondly remembered by those who played them. A new Tony Hawk game hasn’t released in some time, but the new Pro Skater 1+2 is a fantastic update to two of the greatest video games of the original PlayStation era. It makes sense that fans of the series are eager to hear more about any upcoming DLC for the latest game.
The new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 already has some DLC available. Some of the DLC, such as the Ripper character, came as bonuses for people who ordered the deluxe edition of the game. It remains to be seen if that DLC will be available to other players at a later date. Still, with the longtime fascination of secret characters in Tony Hawk, it’s probably only a matter of time before more skaters are introduced into the game via DLC.
What DLC Is Coming Out For Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 doesn’t have microtransactions, so most of its continued revenue will likely stem from DLC purchases. The game has already gotten a cosmetic DLC pack. The United Pack, which is part of the Call of Duty Endowment charity fund, features a Untied shirt, pants, hat, beanie, wheel set, and two United skateboard decks. One deck comes in tie-dye and the other in camo. All the proceeds go to the C.O.D.E., and the DLC pack is available for a limited time for $4.99. This is likely the first of many cosmetic DLC packs to be released for the game, but Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 may be getting some new level content as well.
The biggest rumor concerning new levels in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 +2 comes from assets used in the Skater Heaven level of the game. The assets look strikingly similar to those found in the Canada level of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, leading some fans to believe DLC based on the third installment is heading this way soon. However, with the success of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, it may be more likely that a Pro Skater 3+4 is incoming. This could also explain the Alcatraz leak regarding Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 that happened earlier this year.
For now, fans eager for more specific Tony Hawk DLC will have to wait for Activision to announce it. Still, it’s a pretty solid bet that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 will have a good amount of DLC after launch. Although, whether that DLC is purely cosmetic or will feature new skaters and levels remains to be seen.
