Why Daisy Mae Is So Hard To Find In Animal Crossing

Daisy Mae is a special character in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that allows players to buy and sell turnips, often making a reasonable profit in the process. Buy and selling turnips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is easy, but the challenge is finding Daisy, a task which can sometimes be difficult since her schedule is so tight.

Daisy Mae will only visit a player’s island on Sundays between 5 AM and 12 PM to sell her family’s white turnips at a set price. She inherited the business from her grandma Joan, a special visitor who’s been featured in previous installments of Animal Crossing. Daisy Mae comes across as shy initially, but if players get her talking, she’ll reveal insight into her adorable little family.

Upon buying some of her vegetables, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players must then sell the turnips before the next Sunday, or else they’ll lose their value. Players can’t store turnips, so they must either sell them or drop them in a specific place. Players can inquire about the price of turnips to Timmy and Tommy, but the price will change two times a day, keeping players on their toes. The goal is to sell the turnips for a higher price than the player bought them from Daisy Mae, thus making a decent profit out of the exchange.

How To Find Daisy Mae In Animal Crossing

Part of the reason Daisy Mae is so difficult to find is that she’ll only visit a player’s town during a very specific time of day, and unless players are up bright and early on a Sunday morning, they’ll completely miss her for that week. As soon as the clock strikes noon, the orange boar will be on her way out of town. In addition, players also have to complete Nook’s Cranny before Daisy Mae will pay their island her first visit. Nook’s Cranny is the first version of Tom Nook’s Store. Otherwise, players won’t have any way of checking the Turnip prices and turning them into the shopkeepers for a profit.

To build Nook’s Cranny, players first need to pay off their Island Getaway Package by earning 5,000 Nook Miles. Then they need to transform their tent into a house with the help of Tom Nook. The following day, at Resident Services, Timmy will ask the player to collect supplies needed to build Nook’s Cranny. This will then require them to cut down several trees with their ax as well as find iron nuggets by hitting rocks on the island. Afterwards, players will be able to select the location in which they want to build the Nook family’s shop.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons doesn’t make it easy to find Daisy Mae, but once players do, it’s well worth the challenge if they manage to sell their turnips correctly.
