For a long time, Cage seemed to be taking movie roles strictly for the paycheck. That’s not necessarily a thing to be discouraged, but it led to him appearing in some awful projects. In the last several years though, Cage’s fortunes seem to be turning around, with his much touted crazy side serving him well in mind-bending horror movies like Mandy, Mom and Dad, and The Color Out of Space.
Cage also turned in a great performance as the amusing Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which also served to further remind audiences how entertaining he can be. Cage’s latest cinematic effort is Willy’s Wonderland, a blend of horror, comedy, and action that sees the quirky performer play a drifter who ends up going toe to toe with murderous animatronic characters inside an abandoned family attraction. While not an adaptation of the popular Five Nights at Freddy’s video games, it was clearly inspired by them.
An actual Five Nights at Freddy’s movie still languishes in development, but Willy’s Wonderland has now beat it to the punch, and in the case of Cage’s animatronic enemies, with several other fighting implements too. Willy’s Wonderland is being dubbed an instant cult classic by some, and here’s how it can be streamed today.

It’s worth noting that Willy’s Wonderland also received a small theatrical release on the same day it hit video on demand, that being February 12, 2021. However, that’s probably not the best option to take, as the amount of theaters it’s playing in is very small, and the Coronavirus pandemic still makes moviegoing risky to one’s health. As for streaming options, potential U.S. viewers shouldn’t expect Willy’s Wonderland to come cheap. It’s a premium release, and thus costs a whopping $19.99 to rent online, as has become common practice for VOD releases of films originally meant to get a wide theatrical outing.
In the U.S., Willy’s Wonderland can be rented at every major VOD outlet for $19.99, including Apple, Amazon, Fandango, Vudu, Microsoft, Redbox, and DirecTV. Streamers in the U.K. get the better end of the bargain, as rental prices range from £4.99 to £9.99. For reference, that’s a range of between $6.95 and $13.91 when converted to U.S. currency, much cheaper than the stateside price. Microsoft offers the cheapest price at £4.99, although Amazon is close at £5.99. Willy’s Wonderland hasn’t released everywhere quite yet though, so if one can’t find it to rent, they would be wise to confirm that it’s in fact already out in their specific country.
