The second trailer for Bandai Namco’s Scarlet Nexus leads the pre-show for Gamescom. RPG fans will no doubt be excited to see more of the futuristic world you explore as protagonist Yuito Sumeragi. The slick trailer opened the pre-show in style with the art style shining as it explores the interplanetary issues facing our heroes.

Slick graphics, upbeat music and everything you’d expect from a game of this genre, here’s the trailer:

The upcoming title is set in a far distant future where people have been granted extra-sensory powers, due to a psionic hormone in the brain. As the world begins to enter a new era of ability, deranged mutants begin to attack. After descending from the sky, the Others, begin to seek out humans in order to feast on them. After realizing the Others are resistant to conventional attacks, humanity needs to a new strategy.

The trailer shows more of both the evolved humans, known as psionics, and the Others as well as the battles that ensue when the two clash.

You’ll take on the role of Yuito Sumeragi, who has recently been recruited to the Other Suppression Force, or OSF – a group of evolved humans who have been scouted and trained to go up against the powerful foe.

Sumeragi is aiming to become an elite operative, following in the footsteps of a psionic who saved his life as a child. He has a knack for telekinesis and you’ll join him on an adventure around the city of New Himuka as he uncovers the mysteries surrounding the relationship between technology and psychic ability.
