Parodies are fun to make and often the only way to share your favorite scene from a show or video game online. In order to combat copyright lawsuits being the party pooper, one Persona fan and recognized YouTuber decided to recreate the opening cutscene from Persona 5 Strikers – using hilarious but fitting stock images.

FilthyRamenKing is a familiar creator within the Persona community, and their Strikers intro is not their first parody either. Specializing in recreating copyright-free episodes of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – the popular Japanese manga and anime series – FilthyRamenKing has also been known to produce other spoofs from the Persona series – including Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal – free of all copyrighted material.

Naturally, the creator’s attention has now turned to Atlus’ most recent release, Persona 5 Strikers, and the result is worth watching all the way through. Using a variety of stock images to represent the charming array of characters from the action-RPG, the YouTuber clearly had an enjoyable time stitching all these scenes together, accompanied by a lack-luster kazoo mimicking the musical theme. Ryuji, Yusuke, Morgana, and Arsène – who was represented by a parrot – were all present and introduced with a font you’d usually find on a PowerPoint presentation. It certainly deserves merit, with a special nod given to the admirable kazoo playing.

Back in December, Atlus treated Persona fans to a video of Strikers’ English voice cast reacting to the game’s first announcement trailer. The video was composed of the actors’ genuine, initial reactions to the trailer, making up for the 10% of gameplay they saw during recording. Their excitement over seeing the project come together was wholesome, and we suspect that another reaction video to FilthyRamenKing’s parody would go down as a treat too.

Persona 5 Strikers has been labelled the sequel to Persona 5, and we think the game is completely deserving of that title in our five-star review. Aside from applauding its artwork and standing as “one of the most stylishly controlled games,” we also thought that it solidified the friendships we have come to treasure, and provided a roller coaster of emotions for fans of the series.
