The Pokémon world contains a vast selection of creatures that range from being cute and cuddly to powerful and vicious. On the other hand, Attack On Titan has monsters that appear human but act like wild-animals with no desire to be friendly with the humans in their world.

Although the titans are large and powerful creatures, the human characters with no special powers like Erwin Smith took them down by using specially-designed weaponry. Therefore, it’s worth highlighting which Pokémon can and cannot defeat a titan.

10 CAN: Metagross Because Of Its Superb Intelligence & Deadly Moves

Even though Metagross is a creature that many will forget is not a legendary Pokémon, the power and abilities it holds will ensure its victory over a Titan. Although Titans can chomp a human’s body parts, Metagross’ metallic body can cause any Titan pain.

Metagross is known for its sheer intelligence and strategic battle maneuvers, meaning it can find the Titan’s weakness. Furthermore, Metagross can fly and use projectile-based attacks like Hyper Beam to weaken the Titan in hopes of reaching its weak point.

9 CAN’T: Diglett Because Of Its Size & Lack Protection

Although this creature has an arsenal of moves, Diglett can’t fight Titans. Unlike the Titans, who crave the sunlight to function, Diglett tends to avoid it because it will grow weaker, giving the Pokémon a terrain disadvantage to the Titans.

Not only that but considering Diglett prefers to remain grounded when battling other Pokémon, it may have problems reaching the Titan’s weak point even if it were to use moves to drag the beasts down. Furthermore, considering the Titans’ sizes, one fatal stomp could end a Diglett’s life because of their tiny and unarmed bodies.

8 CAN: Zacian Because Of Its Quick Speed & Deadly Swordsmanship

A newly introduced legendary Pokémon from the Galar Region that can rival some of the best swordsmen in anime is the legendary Zacian. Zacian is incredibly strong despite looking like a dog with a sword in its mouth, as it can slice down a target in a single strike.

Zacian can also transform into a statue for sleeping purposes, but in regards to fighting a Titan, this technique can be useful in avoiding a Titan’s chompers. Moreover, Zacian can fly, produce illusions, and has superb agility that would overwhelm a Titan.

7 CAN’T: Metapod Because Its Shell Isn’t Indestructible

Although Metapod can use the move Harden to upgrade its defensive capabilities to avoid danger, a Titan can easily crack its shell like an egg. Metapod can become hard as steel but will remain motionless. By not having any mobility, Metapod will be left wide-open to become a Titan’s meal or weapon.

Although Metapod’s shell may seem like one of the most powerful pieces of equipment in anime, it does have several weaknesses. If one were to compare Harden to moves like Detect and Protect, then one would realize Metapod is still vulnerable to attacks. Considering Titans have impeccable strength, they’ll find a way to get the weak critter out of its shell.

6 CAN: Aeigislash Because It Can Lower A Titan’s Attack & Has Supernatural Powers

A Pokémon that looks like it came from one of the best medieval anime ever is the sword and shield Pokémon, Aegislash. Aegislash’s Blade Forme and Shield Forme abilities grant it a wide variety of moves that can help it take down a Titan.

For example, Aegislash’s move King Shield allows the Pokémon to generate a ghastly force field that not only shields itself from harm but will lower the attacking power of the being who attacked it. Aegislash can also manipulate people and other Pokemon, proving it can beat a Titan, physically and mentally.

5 CAN’T: Chansey Because It’s Known For Its Defensive Abilities

Some may argue that Chansey is a Pokémon that’s better in its unevolved stage, but when it comes to sheer power and ability, it will be vulnerable if matched up with a Titan. Chansey is a kind-hearted, noble Pokémon willing to share its delicious, health-restoring egg with other Pokémon and humans.

Chansey is also quick on its feet and possesses restoration and attacking moves. However, taking the games into account, Chansey is used for defensive play since its attack stats aren’t high enough to damage Pokémon too much. Thus even if Chansey were to use these attacking and restorative moves, a Titan can easily steal its harboring egg or deliver a mighty punch or chomp.

4 CAN: Charizard Because Its Firepower Will Be More Than Enough

Despite not being one of the best anime characters with fire powers, Charizard’s arsenal, strength, and abilities make it a Pokémon Titans don’t want to encounter. Charizard loves to challenge other powerful Pokémon and has the firepower to dissolve stones and glaciers.

Notably, Charizard can learn one of the most powerful Pokémon moves ever called Blast Burn, which allows the Pokémon to engulf an opponent in a fiery explosion. Furthermore, Charizard’s ability to fly gives it more mobility and agility to defeat any Titan, small or big, in its path.

3 CAN’T: Magikarp Because It’s Useless In Battle

Among the most well-known Pokémon is Magikarp, but its state won’t save it from becoming Titan food. Despite the Pokémon lore claiming that Magikarp has impressive feats, many depictions of the fish showcase its useless ability to defend itself in battle and the wild.

Magikarp is likely a guaranteed meal for bird Pokemon like Pidgeot and many others. Despite its next evolution being a worthy threat to a Titan, the monstrous humans should have no problem battling these fish, considering they’re known for flopping when in battle.

2 CAN: Excadrill Because Its Drill Can Cut Through Steel

A Ground and Steel-type Pokemon that can give Titans a challenge better than Diglett is Excadrill. Excadrill can form into a large drill and can cut through steel and iron without any issues. When digging, Excadrill can reach intense speeds and digs holes in the ground at a fast pace.

Excadrill’s drill and digging prowess can give Titans problems considering how sharp and deadly getting hit by it can be. Not only that but Excadrill also has access to moves like Horn Drill that are meant to one-shot Pokémon if they can land a hit.

1 CAN’T: Rattata Because It Will Try To Run Away From The Battle

Rattata, the Normal-type Pokémon that many encountered during their first adventures in the Kanto Region, may be well-known to many, but its fighting power and size are no match for a Titan. Although Rattata can inflict an intense wound on Pokémon because of its fangs, it will likely scurry away from a large Titan rather than fighting one off.

Furthermore, running away from danger isn’t new to Rattata, considering one of its special abilities allows it to flee any battle without worry. Thus Titans will not need to worry about this Pokémon putting up a fight since it’ll most likely run away.
