Even though it’s January now, and you (hopefully) threw your jack o’ lanterns out a long, long time ago, things are about to get spooky in Eorzea. Final Fantasy 14 delayed its annual Halloween event, All Saint’s Wake, due to the pandemic. However, it’s time to return to the Haunted Manor with your friends.
This seasonal event will run from today until February 2, 2022 at 6:59am PST/14:59 GMT. Seasonal quests cannot be completed after this time, so ensure you’ve done everything you need to and snagged those items before then.
‘All Clown’s Wake’ Walkthrough
To start the seasonal quest ‘All Clown’s Wake’, you need to head to Old Gridania and speak to the Adventurer’s Guild Investigator at (X:10.4, Y:8.4). You must be Level 15 or above to take part and have already completed the main scenario quest ‘It’s Probably Pirates’.
The Adventurer Guild Investigator requests that you speak to the following NPCs:
Return to the Adventurer Guild Investigator after speaking with all four NPCs, then go to Old Gridania (X:11.9, Y:8.6) and wait at the designated location.
After the cutscenes, speak to the Adventurer Guild Investigator at (X:12.2, Y:8.7).
Next, head to the Central Shroud (Bentbranch Meadows is the closest Aetheryte) and then travel to (X:23.2, Y:23.3) and wait at the designated location.
After the cutscene, head to (X:21.3, Y:21.4) and speak to the Adventurer Guild Investigator to complete the quest. You get no real rewards for completing this, but it opens up the next quest where the fun really starts!
‘A Feast To Remember’ Walkthrough
Speak to the Adventurer Guild Investigator at (X:21.3, Y:21.4) again to start the ‘A Feast To Remember’ quest.
After the cutscene, head to (X:22.8, Y:22.7) and speak to Papa Gruff, this will unlock the seasonal instance ‘the Phantoms’ Feast’.
To take part in this instance, you need to speak to the Harlequin Guide under the Bentbranch Meadows bridge or in the Acorn Orchard. This instance requires a party of four players with no class, job, or level requirements, and if you enter alone, you will be matched with other players.
Inside the Phantoms’ Feast, use Healing Holy Water on Captive Souls to save them and use Fiendish lanterns on the Clown Wraiths to destroy them.
- In the Little Gruff section in the Playroom, collect as many Pumpkin treasure chests as you can while avoiding the bombs.
- In the Mama Gruff section in the Banquet Hall, eat as many meals as possible while destroying the Wraiths with Fiendish lanterns.
- In the Papa Gruff section in the Ballroom, save the captive souls, destroy the wraiths, all while avoiding Papa Gruff’s attacks.
You’ll be rewarded with Pumpkin Cookies!
Return to Old Gridania and speak to the Adventurer Guild Investigator at (X:10.4, Y:8.5) and give him a Pumpkin Cookie to complete the quest. You’ll earn yourself the Modern Cosmetics – Clowning Around face paint and a Pumpkin Cookie. You’ll also unlock the achievement ‘The Winners Club’.
Where Do I Get The Clown Outfit And Pumpkin Furnishings?
Once you’ve completed both seasonal quests, you can speak to the Shady Smock at (X:10.2, Y:9.2) in Old Gridania to exchange your Pumpkin Cookies for lots of awesome items. You can re-enter the Phantom’s Feast seasonal instance by speaking to the Harlequin Guide in either Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre or the Acorn Orchard to replay it and earn more cookies.
You can also speak to the Genial Guiser at (X:10.1, Y:9.1) in Old Gridania to join the Marvelous Masquerade in the Haunted Manor and speak to the Unsavory Imp to turn into a familiar character from your past.
