Gilly Island is the fourth world in New Super Lucky’s Tale, and it is also the shortest, containing a mere 18 clovers spread across three levels, plus the hub world. The levels follow the same formula as before, meaning you must collect every L-U-C-K-Y letter, 300 coins, the Hidden Page, and complete the level to attain 100% on that stage.

After exiting the hub world for Wrestful Retreat, and before you can enter you will have to fight General Buttons and Lieutenant Fluffinstuff. This boss fight is harder than the previous two, but still generally pretty easy. Avoid their attacks and fireballs, and when throw bombs at you, quickly punch them before they blow up and they will get launched back at the boss. After three rounds of fireball dodging and bomb deflecting, you will gain access to Gilly Island.

Securing The Talent

Cross the bridge and head right. Destroy the two speakers next to the dancing characters, then continue right:

Jump across the floaties to reach a large rectangular rock. The “L” will be on the scaffolding next to you. Jump on the lower portion of the scaffolding, then back on the rock quickly. The scaffolding will sink and you can quickly grab the “L”. If you miss it, wait a few seconds and the scaffolding will float back up:

Jump to the next piece of scaffolding, then jump to the island with the dancing characters. Tail swipe the anchor hanging from the tree to spawn the “C”:

Walk along the scaffolding to the immediate right of the checkpoint marker until you end up next to the two speakers. Destroy them:

Hop down and get on a floatie again. Ride it through the river and climb up the scaffolding to the right, up to the bee. You should see the “Y” a few platforms away:

Dropdown onto the small island beside you and enter the foxhole next to the dancing guy, which will take you to a minigame, where you must climb back and forth up a tower while barrels are thrown down at you. Sounds familiar…:

At the top, hit the gong to defeat the Yeti and you will get a diamond reward, but more importantly, you’ll spawn back in the main map on top of the tower with the speaker, so destroy it:

Ride the floaties back toward the starting area. Watch your left side and you should see a small alcove in the mountain right next to the starting area. Jump into this alcove and enter the foxhole. Complete the coin collection minigame in here to spawn the Hidden Page:

Now it’s time to explore the left side of the level. Jump across the river and climb up the platforms to your right. Hop across the bamboo bridge to reach a coin collection minigame. Completing it will spawn the “U” in a treasure chest. Burrow under it to open it:

Turn left and start to work your way up around the building. Two waves of enemies will spawn, so make quick work of them then climb to the roof and destroy the two speakers:

Backtrack across the broken bamboo bridge and use the blue umbrella to hop up to higher land. Grab the cooler in the back left and carry it to the clamshell bounce pad. Launch up to the top and place the cooler on the wooden platform to open access to the speaker. Destroy it:

Drop back down to the floaties and ride them to a new island. Specifically, the one with the big octopus with the hat:

You’ll need to find three octopi around the island. The first is right near the checkpoint as shown below. The octopus will appear green until you punch it, then it will show as orange:

Loop around to the right and the second octopus will be beneath you. It will appear as blue before you punch it, then it’ll turn green:

Continue your counter-clockwise journey around the island. Between these two clams, on the wall, will be the last octopus. Jump up to it and smack it (it will be orange):

The father octopus will now let you onto the other island to the right of him. Hop over to it and grab the “K” first! Destroying the final speaker will send you back to the starting area, and you don’t want to have to come all the way back out here to grab the “K”:

Once you have it, destroy the speaker and then grab the level completion page:

Trapped In Paradise

This level is very poorly designed, but in a way that will benefit you greatly. This level is another maze level, but the tops of the walls aren’t spiked, and you can easily jump over any of them to get anywhere in the level. This works by double-jumping at the wall, then mashing jump + dash, where dash uses the same button as a burrow. Get ready to abuse this, as it will avoid needing to do any puzzles:

To start, punch the green umbrella. You will need to punch five umbrellas total to beat this level:

Go to the back left corner of the map, relative to where you spawn. Along the way, you should pass a yellow umbrella, so make sure you punch it:

Continue to the back left and cross the rope bridge. There will be numerous switches around that rotate platforms, and you should start near a blue one. You don’t need to use these, as you can just jump over walls to get around. Head over to the blue switch across from the blue switch you started by:

Just over the wall beside you is the “Y”, next to a guy showering, so grab it:

Walk in the direction that the showering guy is looking, and you should come to a red switch next to a red path. Follow this red path to find the “C” on a rock pedestal:

To your right here, punch the third umbrella and then traverse the obstacle course past the checkpoint. Along the way, you’ll have to get past a circle of fireballs. Amongst these fireballs is the “K”, so grab it safely:

Head back to the rope bridge you crossed to get to this area of the map. Turn left and jump out to the red platform above the water to find a coin collection challenge. You’ll have to hit the switch during this challenge in order to grab some of the coins. Completing it will spawn the “L”:

Now for the other side of the map. Head over to the area pictured below. That green umbrella in the upper right is the spawn area for reference. Once here, enter the foxhole to reach a minigame:

Hit the switches to stop the totems from spinning, and time it so that it stops with the ladders aligned, allowing you to climb to the switch at the top, which will reveal the Hidden Page:

Head to the rope bridge at the far corner of this side of the map. Jump over the wall to the right of the bridge to find an umbrella, then jump back over the wall and cross the bridge:

Make your way to the back left corner of the map, where you will see the “U” floating above the water. Simply jump out and grab it, and you will respawn back on the map:

Head to the right corner of this area to find the fifth and final umbrella. The level completion page will spawn beside you, so collect it to end the level:

Three Cannon Salute

From the very start, you will see a coin collection minigame in front of you. Complete it by hopping across the birds to collect the coins and the “L” will appear:

Head forward until you reach the checkpoint. Immediately afterward will be a stack of explosive barrels. Stand on these barrels to make the cannons shoot at them. Jump out of the way when they explode and the should uncover the “U” beneath you:

Once you enter the building pictured below, head to the far right and burrow under the deck, then head left to grab the “C”:

Head forward until you see the “K” on a platform above you. Stand on the explosive barrels beneath it to get the cannons to shoot them. This will lower a ramp allowing you to climb up and grab it:

After the next checkpoint, drop down off the scaffolding ahead to find a foxhole. Enter it to reach the background, where you must collect all the large coins as the spawn. After they are all collected, the Hidden Page will appear in the middle of the screen:

Back in the foreground, continue forward until you reach the alarm clock, which is practically unmissable. Complete the coin collection minigame to spawn the “Y”:

You will come to a boss fight at the very end. Enter the foxhole to reach the ship in the background, and stand next to teach of the explosive barrels to make the cannons shoot them, sinking their own ship. The level completion page will appear after a short cutscene:

Hub World

Upon exiting Three Cannon Salute, take a left and enter the foxhole in front of you for a sliding puzzle:

Push the two lower statues up and the two upper statues down:

Push the upper-right statue to the left, then the lower-right statue right, up, then left:

Push the bottommost statue to the left, then all of the upper statues to the right:

Push the top-middle statue down and to the right, then the upper-right statue to the left to solve the puzzle and reveal the page:

Drop down to the sand and take a left across the wooden bridge to the next foxhole:

Push the bottom-right statue to the left, then the topmost statute down. Push the top-left statue down, right then up:

Push the leftmost statue right, down, right then up. Push the top-left statue left:

Push the bottom-left statue right, down then left, then the upper-left non-Lucky statue down, right then down:

Push the bottom-left statue right to solve the puzzle and reveal the page:

Continue clockwise around the island to find the next foxhole on a small island:

This puzzle is hard to explain as there are so many statues, so this will rely mostly on the pictures, so follow along with the images. Push all the lower statues to the right to allow the lower-right Lucky statue onto the green button:

Push the non-Lucky statue out of the way of the top-left Lucky statue:

Push the top-left Lucky statue onto its green button, then push the non-Lucky statues out of the way of the top-right Lucky statue:

Push the top-right Lucky statue onto the green button, then clear the way for the bottom-right Lucky statue:

Push the last Lucky statue onto the green button to solve the puzzle and reveal the page:

Continue on your clockwise journey to the next foxhole across the water:

Push the bottom-left non-Lucky statue up then left, then push the new bottom-left statue up then left:

Push the two leftmost statues down, then the two statues to the immediate right upward:

Push the two rightmost Lucky statues to the right and down. Push the two top-right non-Lucky statues down:

Push the two red statues right, then push the two rightmost statues up, and the two statues to their immediate left down:

Push the two rightmost Lucky statues left, then push the two leftmost Lucky statues up:

Push the top green statue to the right and the bottom green statue to the left:

Push the last two Lucky statues onto their green buttons to solve the puzzle and reveal the page:

Head to the foxhole on top of the Trapped In Paradise entrance by taking the clamshell bounce pad up top:

Push the top-right statue to the right, then the bottom-right statue left, up then right:

Push the top-left statue right then down, then push the two topmost statues to the left:

Push the right of the two uppermost statues down and right, then push the leftmost Lucky statue to the right. Push the two bottommost statues to the right:

Push the red statue up and to the left, then push the bottom-right statue to the left:

Push the rightmost statue left and down, then push the bottom-left statue to the right:

Push the last Lucky statue onto the last green button to solve the puzzle and reveal the page:

Climb down to sea level and continue clockwise to find the next foxhole next to some stone slabs:

Push the bottom-left statue up and to the right, then push the upper-left statue down:

Push the middle statue in the group of statues to the right downward, then right and down:

Push the upper-right Lucky statue down, left, up, left then up. Push the lower-left statue up, right, down then right:

Push the top-left statue down, then push the other Lucky statue right, up then left:

Push the bottom-left statue up to solve the puzzle and reveal the page:

With that page collected, you will have Gilly Island 100% complete, and are ready to advance to the next world, Hauntingham.
