The world of Pokémon Let’s Go allows players to try and catch ’em all, but many Trainers want more: they want to catch Legendary Pokémon. Catching Legendary Pokémon, though, requires a Master Trainer, someone who knows what they’re doing and has mad skills to add them to their collection.
But even Master Trainers need a little help on finding these Legendary Creatures, as well as knowing what the requirements are to catch them.

One thing that makes Legendary Pokémon so tricky to catch is that they come with a time limit: Trainers only have five minutes or those Pokémon disappear. Each Legendary Pokémon also has certain level requirements, as well as specific skills needed to initiate a battle. Here is a list of Legendary Pokémon, along with information on how to find them and the requirements trainers need to catch them.
Finding Articuno in Pokémon Let’s Go
Articuno are near the bottom of the Seafoam Islands. They are only found at level 50 or more and hang out near the bottom of the Seafoam Islands. Players will need Sea Skim to get there from Route 19, along with Strong Push to keep the path clear of enemies.
Finding Zapdos in Pokémon Let’s Go
Zapdos also requires level 50 and Sea Skim, which players can get by defeating the Koga Gym Leader for Fuchsia City. They are near the power plant, with the best way there going via Route 10 via Sea Skim. The best Pokémon for the battle against the Zapdo are Golem, Rhydon and Onix.
Finding Moltres in Pokémon Let’s Go
Players looking for Moltres will first need all the Gym Leader Badges, as well as level 50. They are located at the end of Victory Road. The best Pokémon for the battle are Golem, Rhydon, Omastar, Gyarados, Lapras, Blastoise and Zapdos.
Finding Mewto in Pokémon Let’s Go
The first requirement for finding Mewto is getting all the Gym Leader Badges. Once that is done, trainers will need to defeat the Elite Four. Only then can they find the Mewto by flying north to Route 24. Use Sea Skim to go into the water and find the Cerulean Cave. The best Pokémon for the encounter are Dragonite, Gengar, Jolteon, Pinsir, Scyther and Snorlax.
Finding Mew in Pokémon Let’s Go
Mew is only available by buying the Pokeball Plus. Instead of an encounter, Mew is actually inside the purchased Pokeball.
Catching ’em all in Pokémon Let’s Go means catching the Legendary Pokémon, too, so keep leveling up and acquiring skills and become the very best like no one ever was.
