Players looking for Moltres will first need all the Gym Leader Badges, as well as level 50. They are located at the end of Victory Road. The best Pokémon for the battle are Golem, Rhydon, Omastar, Gyarados, Lapras, Blastoise and Zapdos.

The best Pokémon for the encounter are Dragonite, Gengar, Jolteon, Pinsir, Scyther and Snorlax.

Mew is only available by buying the Pokeball Plus. Instead of an encounter, Mew is actually inside the purchased Pokeball.
