If you’ve missed the news, Riot Games accidentally released the patch notes for the upcoming update 2.06 for Valorant yesterday. The patch notes dive deep into the nerfs coming to Bucky shotgun, and some other ability buffs to Yoru and Viper.

Let’s talk about Viper’s changes first. With patch 2.06, Riot Games has increased the pickup distance for Viper’s Poison Cloud from 200 to 400. Toxic Screen has also been buffed. Now, it will remain active for additional two seconds if Viper dies while the ability is active. As for Snakebite, the equip time has been decreased from 1.1 to 0.8 seconds. For her passive ability, Toxin, players will instantly lose 50 health if they touch any of Viper’s abilities.

As for Yoru, he can now use his Gatecrash teleport ability while in his Dimensional Drift ultimate. Also, Dimensional Drift’s required ult points have been reduced from seven to six. For Blindside, the activation time has been decreased from 0.8 to 0.6 seconds, and Flash duration from 1.1 to 1.5 seconds. The Gatecrash ability lets you teleport and is no longer refreshed on kills. Instead, it’ll automatically be replenished after 35 seconds. The lifetime of Gatecrash fragment has also been increased from 20 to 30 seconds.

Killjoy has a minor tweak which now allows her to pick her Nonaswarm grenades when in the Buy Phase. Bucky shotgun will see the most number of nerfs in this patch. Both primary and alternate fire bullet spread has been decreased. Also, the number of pallets the come from the alternate fire (right-click) has been decreased from 15 to five.

Apart from that, Riot Games has finally added Head-Related Transfer Function (HRTF) which has been requested by the community in the past. This feature will allow players to pinpoint other players and opponents more accurately in 3D based on audio cues. But for this, you’ll need a pair of headphones. Right now, this feature will only be available for footsteps, reload, and Deathmatch spawn sounds.
