James Jude Courtney, who has been working as a stunt man and an actor, was cast as Michael Myers in both Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills and shared the process with The Oakland Press.

Courtney said that he traveled to Charleston to audition for the role and it was a really quick process as he was hired almost immediately: “I got literally out into the parking lot to drive back to Columbia when I got a call, asking about my availability to shoot the film. I didn’t even get to the freeway when they called again and asked me to come back to meet with (Green). It was meant to be.”
