When Harry (Brian Petsos) finds himself in debt with the wrong guys, he decides that the best option is to run; however, when he comes home to find his beloved pup “Jolly” murdered, he refuses to stop until he has revenge. Oscar Isaac costars as Harry’s cousin Cecil, a kind-hearted but morally skewed alcoholic who isn’t quite right in the head. The two team up to find the men responsible and avenge Jolly’s name.
5 Inside Llewyn Davis
Directed by the Coen Brothers, Inside Llewyn Davis explores the life of a gifted but jaded folk singer navigating the struggles of being a musician in 1960s New York and the false promise of the American Dream.
Much like Nathan in Ex Machina, Llewyn isn’t likely to remind you much of Poe Dameron, mostly because the latter is so much more hopeful and has probably never asked Justin Timberlake for abortion money. It does have an unexpected connection to Star Wars, though, as Adam Driver plays a small part. In a twist of irony, he and Oscar even sing a song together about how they are against going to space. No, seriously.

A stylish throwback to the ’60s, The Two Faces of January is a romantic thriller written and directed by Hossein Amini. As the success of his family business grows, more and more violence threatens his employees, business, and eventually his own family. The situation escalates, forcing Abel to choose between standing by his morals or doing what he has to in order to protect everything that he’s worked for, including his loved ones.
