The cartoons on Nickelodeon are often fast paced, but even that style couldn’t cover up these mistakes. Nickelodeon has become an empire of the animated space over the last several decades, producing some of the most well-known hits during this time. It’s a surprising result from where they started, and even has happened while they’ve continued to release live-action content as well. But, the animated medium has long been where they’ve found the bigger successes.

The run of hits began in the 1990s with Rugrats and Doug paving the way for the future. One of the most popular to come since that era was SpongeBob Squarepants, which has continued to produce new episodes and expand the universe through films and potentially with spinoff shows. They’ve also seen shows like The Fairly Oddparents experience great success.

Amid all of the success though, Nickelodeon has seen some mistakes slip through on their programming. In the latest Screen Rant video, we take a look at 25 different examples of unintentional errors that weren’t caught before episodes made it to air. Thankfully, most of them don’t deal with main characters in the series, but rather with the supporting ones. Check out all of these examples in the video featured at the top of this post.

The majority of these moments are quick mistakes that can be easy to overlook, so they aren’t that big of a deal, but they would’ve been caught in a perfect world. This way, we’d have avoided small continuity errors like Vicky suddenly growing her hair back in The Fairly Oddparents, appearances changing to background characters in SpongeBob Squarepants, or that time SpongeBob was without an arm for a few frames. And now that you’ve seen them, it’ll be difficult to ever not spot them in the future.

Despite these mistakes, Nickelodeon and their shows are not the only animated content that suffer from this problem. We’ve previously covered how The Simpsons has had their fair share of errors in the past, and those examples are all from just one show. However, this issue goes beyond TV, as even some of the biggest animated movies have included mistakes like these. Just look at all the times the Toy Story franchise messed up. All of this is just the result of how animation works and the various teams that work individually to make the final product. It would be nice if they didn’t happen, but Nickelodeon isn’t alone in seeing mistakes like this on a regular basis.
