Kenneth Niedermeier from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way feels homesick living in Mexico, but there are reasons why he and Armando Rubio shouldn’t be moving to America, either. Florida resident Kenny sold all of his belongings and went to Mexico in TOW season 2 with a dream of getting married to Armando after connecting in an online support group for gay fathers. The 90 Day Fiancé couple faced resistance from Armando’s family, especially his father, and the government when it came to their wedding. However, Kenny and Armando will marry in weeks on the show, going against all odds to be together. Still, the drama isn’t over for this perfect pair.

During episode 9, Kenny, who was already missing home, found out his daughter Cassidy was going to have a baby, making him a grandfather for a second time. Kenny admitted he felt guilty about not telling Armando his real feelings. At the same time, he was also lonely. The episode eventually saw Kenny finally opening up to Armando about his dilemma and the Mexican 90 Day Fiancé star listing his apprehensions about going to the States for good.

As Armando saw his partner being emotional about how much he’d had to adjust in Mexico, he revealed it was due to his daughter Hannah that Kenneth had moved there. It makes sense Armando wants to continue living in his home country because Hannah has his and her mother’s side of the family there. However, Armando also brought up his own fear of Kenny going back to St. Petersburg, getting cold feet, and canceling the wedding.

While Kenneth would not really pull a Deavan Clegg and go back home to never return, Armando would have to deal with his husband’s family not liking him if he kept their father away from them. The next best option, in this case, would be Armando and Kenny both relocating, but then again, the Hannah argument still remains valid. While Kenny’s kids are grown and have their own families, he could still keep going back and forth instead of having Hannah uproot everything she knows. Kenny’s kids are also being unreasonable and not understanding that Hannah has recently lost her mother, has a stepfather who doesn’t speak her language, and needs to be in an environment where she’s familiar. Moving to America would mean Hannah having to adjust to more sudden changes, such as a new home, new school, new language, and new friends.

After all, it was a mutual decision for Armando and Kenny to stay in Mexico, which would have been a part of a bigger plan, including them marrying and having more kids. Kenny’s children should be considerate of their father and Armando’s decision and not guilt trip either of them into thinking America is a better option. Meanwhile, Kenny feeling isolated and not accepted, especially by Armando Sr., might force him to make a hasty decision. Luckily, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers see Kenneth and Armando as perhaps the franchise’s most genuine and sensible couple and hope that whatever they decide eventually guarantees Hannah a happy future.
