Art Of The Mass Effect Trilogy: Expanded Edtion, featuring hundreds of never-before-seen works of art from the series, is now available for pre-order. BioWare, the developer of the Mass Effect series, first teamed up with Dark Horse Comics in 2012 to release The Art of the Mass Effect Universe which contained 184 pages of art up to Mass Effect 3.
Unlike the previous version, this updated book will host 272 pages of images from all three Mass Effect games and their DLCs. The official release highlights the book including content from Mass Effect 2’s “Lair of the Shadow Broker” and Mass Effect 3’s “Citadel.” The art ranges from very early sketches to the finished concepts of the games alongside commentary.
The official description says, “…this expanded edition is the ultimate companion to on the greatest series in the history of gaming!”
Fans of the Mass Effect trilogy can pre-order The Art Of The Mass Effect Trilogy: Expanded Edition on Amazon, as well as Penguin Random House Publisher Services and other sites. It is set to be released in both hardcover and e-book versions on February 23rd, 2021. A printed copy costs $39.99 and $23.99 for an Amazon Kindle copy.
The only e-book version currently available for pre-order is for the Amazon Kindle and through Kobo, though the Penguin Random House Publisher Services site hosts other non-functioning links for e-book pre-registration.
If players can’t wait until 2021 to dive into the world of BioWare game development, then they have the opportunity to pre-order BioWare: Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development. This book which focuses on all the history and development of all BioWare games, including the Mass Effect series is set to be released on
November 17, 2020.
The last concept art book for the Mass Effect Trilogy, The Art of the Mass Effect Universe, received a 4.8/5 star review average on Amazon. Most fans raved about seeing the fine details of their beloved universe come to life from characters and clothing to whole planets taking shape. If this first book is the base of what the expanded experience of The Art Of The Mass Effect Trilogy: Expanded Edition, then Mass Effect series fans have a lot of new intriguing artwork to look forward to.
