Pokemon Legends: Arceus has landed, and it has both surprised and entertained Pokemon fans of all ages with its new mechanics, design, and overall take on the familiar Pokemon formula. Nintendo and Game Freak have really delivered something unique to the series while still keeping the elements that have made Pokemon such a beloved game franchise.

Of course, the main goal of the game is still to catch as many Pokemon as you can, and there are plenty of Pokemon from across the generations on offer in Legends: Arceus. Among them is the Normal type, which includes some of the most beloved Pokemon of the series under its umbrella.

8 Blissey Has A Vast Move Pool And High Special Defense

Blissey is a Generation 2 Pokemon that first appeared in the Johto Region. It evolves from the Generation 1 Pokemon, Chansey. In Generation 4, the baby Pokemon, Happiny, was introduced. It evolves into Chansey through leveling up in the daytime while holding the Oval Stone. Chansey evolves into Blissey after leveling up while having a strong attachment to its trainer. Blissey is a pure Normal-Type Pokemon and is known as the Happiness Pokemon.

Blissey can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands and Alabaster Icelands. It has a powerful Special Defense stat, but its Defense falls short as a result. It can learn a wide variety of moves, including Wild Charge, Psychic, Flamethrower, Iron Tail, Ice Beam, Dazzling Gleam, and Shadow Ball.

Bibarel is the Water and Normal-Type Beaver Pokemon. It evolves from Bidoof, a beloved and adorable Pokemon that has become one of the icons of Generation 4 and the Sinnoh Region. Bidoof evolves into Bibarel at Level 15 and is one of the first Pokemon you encounter in Legends Arceus, inhabiting the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Bibarel can be found across Hisui, in the Obsidian Fieldlands, Alabaster Icelands, Crimson Mirelands, and Cobalt Coastlands. It can learn some mighty moves such as Aqua Tail, Double-Edge, and Crunch.

6 Staraptor Is Among The Coolest Early-Game Bird Pokemon

Staraptor is another Generation 4 Pokemon that hails from the Sinnoh/Hisui Region. It is a Flying and Normal-Type Pokemon that evolves from Staravia at Level 34 and Starly at Level 14.

Starly is another early-game Pokemon that inhabits the Obsidian Fieldlands. Staraptor is known as the Predator Pokemon and is another Pokemon used by Ash Ketchum in the Pokemon anime.

Staraptor in its full form can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands, specifically Nature’s Pantry, and the Cobalt Coastlands in the Deadwood Haunt. Staraptor can learn some pretty powerful moves as well, namely Close Combat, Brave Bird, and Giga Impact.

5 Snorlax Is The Sleeping Giant That Can Take A Lot Of Hits

Snorlax is a Generation 1 Pokemon from the Kanto Region known for sleeping and eating. It is notable for blocking two different paths in the Kanto Region and needing to be awoken with the Poke Flute. It is also a Pokemon used by Ash Ketchum in the Pokemon anime. It’s one of the couple dozen Pokemon to receive a unique Gigantimax form in Sword & Shield. Snorlax also received a baby Pokemon prior evolution through Munchlax in Generation 4. Munchlax evolves into Snorlax through leveling up after forming a strong bond with its trainer.

Snorlax is known as the Sleeping Pokemon and is a pure Normal-Type Pokemon. It has a pretty vast move pool and is able to learn such moves as Zen Headbutt, High Horsepower, Crunch, Giga Impact, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, and Psychic.

4 Ursaluna Is The New Ground-Type Evolved Form For Ursaring

Ursaring is one of the Pokemon to receive a new evolved form in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. If the trainer uses a Peat Block on Ursaring during a Full Moon, it evolves into Ursaluna. While Ursaring and its prior form, Teddiursa, were both pure Normal-Type Pokemon, Ursaluna is a Normal and Ground-Type. Ursaring and Teddiursa were first introduced with Generation 2 in the Johto Region.

Ursaluna is known as the Peat Pokemon and can only be obtained by evolving an Ursaring in Legends: Arceus. Teddiursa and Ursaring can be found in the Coronet Highlands and Crimson Mirelands. Ursaluna can learn some impressive moves like Headlong Rush, Play Rough, and Double-Edge.

3 Wyrdeer Is The Noble Psychic-Type Evolved Form Of Stantler

Stantler is another Generation 2 Pokemon that received an evolved form in Legends: Arceus. Stantler is a pure Normal-Type Pokemon that can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands and Coronet Highlands in the Hisui Region. Stantler can evolve into Wyrdeer when leveling up after using the Agile Style version of Psyshield Bash 20 times.

Wyrdeer is known as the Big Horn Pokemon and can only be obtained by evolving Stantler in Legends: Arceus. It is a Normal and Psychic-Type Pokemon that can learn such moves as Zen Headbutt and Double-Edge.

2 Eevee Is An Ever-Beloved Fan-Favorite With Evolutionary Options

Eevee is a fan-favorite Pokemon that can currently evolve into eight different Pokemon of distinct types: Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Umbreon, Espeon, Glacion, Leafeon, and Sylveon. Eevee was the mascot of Pokemon Go: Eevee, and it’s the starting Pokemon in Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. It also received a unique Gigantimax form in Sword & Shield. It is a pure Normal-Type Pokemon.

Eevee can be found across the Hisui Region, usually in Space-Time Distortions. While it won’t reach its full potential until it evolves, it can still learn some useful moves like Double-Edge, Calm Mind, and Iron Tail.

1 Hisuian Zoroark Is A Cool Twist On The Gen 5 Dark-Type

Zoroark and Zorua were Dark-Type Pokemon first introduced through the Unova Region in Generation 5. They were known as Illusion Fox Pokemon that would mimic the appearance of another Pokemon in their trainer’s party. Like a handful of other Pokemon, Zorua and Zoroark received Hisuian Forms in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Zorua and Zoroark are Normal and Ghost-Type Pokemon in their Hisuian Forms. They can be found in the Alabaster Icelands, and Zorua evolves into Zoroark at Level 30. Hisuian Zoroark is known as the Baneful Pokemon, and it can learn moves such as Extrasensory, Shadow Claw, and Nasty Plot.
