Defeating Gmork will ear legendary shotgun. Borderlands 3 has an astronomical amount of guns but it’s still worth the effort to track down legendary weapons that can inflict massive damage against the hordes of enemies.
The latest DLC expansion entitled “Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock” opens up the planet Xylourgos and allows you to preside over the wedding of Sir Hammerlock and Wainwright Jacobs. It also increases the level cap of the game and fixes many issues with the game. The highlights of this expansion are the addition of new creatures, the Rock Slugs, and Wolven. Among them is the Prime Wolven Gmork, who wields The Nothingness shotgun.
According to Primagames, defeating Gmork is part of the “Hammerlocks Occult Hunt” mission in The Cankerhood. You have to head to the south side of Sweetfruit Village in the middle of the map and Gmork will come out of its burrow. Gmork can cause massive closeup damage as well as fling spikes from its tail. It also has a shield that can regenerate if you give it time to recover. As with most borderlands foes, you must keep moving and don’t allow yourself to get boxed in. To deal the most damage possible, it’s best to have a variety of corrosive guns in your inventory. As long as you keep your distance and keep on firing, you will wear down its shields and eventually kill it.
The main reason for taking down Gmork is to farm The Nothingness shotgun. It’s likely to drop around once or twice in every ten battles, so you might have to fight Gmork a few times to get it. Both Gmork and The Nothingness shotgun pay homage to the movie The Neverending Story. Gmork was the evil wolf chasing Atreyu, and The Nothingness was the power that destroyed everything in the land by consuming it.
So why all the trouble over The Nothingness Shotgun? It’s made by Maliwan and deals massive damage from its main exploding shot. It also fires secondary projectiles and can cause huge amounts of elemental damage. Here are its stats:

Farming The Nothingness is worthwhile and will make future battles much easier. It also makes a great addition to the other legendary weapons and collectibles in the game.
