One of the best ways to level your season pass in Destiny 2 is to complete weekly Seasonal Challenges. These challenges are unique Triumphs that release over the first ten weeks of a new season, granting tons of XP and Bright Dust when completed. Check your season pass or quest tabs to check which challenges you can do.

This week, you’ll need to defeat enemies in the EDZ, slay Champions, and clear the Vow of the Disciple raid. Some of these challenges are quite tough, so we’ll go over the most efficient ways of completing each challenge and what rewards you can expect.

Operation Elbrus: Week 3

Destiny 2 Season Of The Risen All Week 3 Seasonal Challenges

Operation Elbrus: Week 3: Complete Week 3 of Operation Elbrus and use Psychogenic Intel to decode 3 Runic Chests at the end of PsiOps Battlegrounds. Collect Psychogenic Intel by playing strikes, Gambit, Crucible, public events, and more.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • Insight

Once again, you’ll need to complete all previous Elbrus quest steps before you can unlock Week 3’s steps at the H.E.L.M. Once you’ve finished the quest objectives, you’ll need to decode three Runic Chests with Psychogenic Intel. You can obtain Intel from just about every activity in Destiny 2. Consider farming Nightfalls or Gambit to complete some of this week’s other challenges, giving you enough Psychogenic Intel to open three chests.

Challenge Of The Disciple

Destiny 2 Season Of The Risen All Week 3 Seasonal Challenges

Challenge of the Disciple: Complete a weekly mission from The Witch Queen on Hero difficulty or higher.

Reward

  • 25,000 XP

Upon completing The Witch Queen campaign, you’ll unlock certain quests at the Enclave’s Evidence Board. One of these quests will unlock weekly campaign missions, allowing you to clear certain missions on Hero difficulty or higher to earn Ascendant Alloys and other gear. Compared to the Legendary Campaign, the Hero weekly mission is easier overall, only featuring Champions and one additional modifier. You only need to complete the mission on Hero to finish this challenge—a difficulty setting that allows for matchmaking.

Weapon Shape II

Destiny 2 Season Of The Risen All Week 3 Seasonal Challenges

Weapon Shape II: Extract a Resonant Element from a Deepsight Resonant weapon.

Reward

  • 25,000 XP

Deepsight Resonant weapons, sometimes called “red box” weapons, feature a red border around them. These guns can be used to extract certain crafting materials. Whenever you find one of these weapons, equip them. Completing activities grants about 50% extraction progress, and kills grant about 1% each. At 100%, you can harvest crafting materials from your gun, completing this challenge. Check out our weapon crafting guide for more information on how this works.

Severed Vow

Destiny 2 Season Of The Risen All Week 3 Seasonal Challenges

Severed Vow: Complete each encounter in the “Vow of the Disciple” raid in Savathun’s Throne World.

Reward

  • 100,000 XP

You’ll need to complete every encounter in the Vow of the Disciple raid to finish this challenge. Compared to other raids, Vow is quite mechanic-heavy, so consider learning callouts before you jump into an LFG service. Check out our Vow of the Disciple guide for info on encounters, recommended loadouts, and where to find every hidden chest. Best of luck to you, and find a group you gel with. If this is your first time raiding, consider finding a raid sherpa.

Destiny 2 Season Of The Risen All Week 3 Seasonal Challenges

Power Broker: Reach Power Level 1,550 by earning powerful rewards and Prime Engrams.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

This challenge is retroactive.

If you haven’t reached 1,550 Power yet, you’ll want to finish The Witch Queen campaign on Legendary first. This grants a full set of 1,520 Power gear, making the last 30 Power Levels easy to earn. Artifact Power does not count for this Seasonal Challenge, so remember to do your weekly Powerful and Pinnacle challenges whenever possible. Check out our Power Leveling guide for more info on how Destiny’s leveling system works and how to maximize your Power earnings.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

You’ll need to defeat 100 Taken for this challenge. Thankfully, just about every Taken enemy in Gambit is a major. The Primeval, Envoys, and all bank blockers are Taken majors that grant additional progress. To get this challenge done quickly, focus on killing blockers and Envoys whenever they’re active.

Scorched Earth

Destiny 2 Season Of The Risen All Week 3 Seasonal Challenges

Scorched Earth: Defeat Guardians in Team Scorched. Charged detonations in midair or on surfaces earn bonus progress.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

Team Scorched is a rotating Crucible playlist that gives you a Scorch Cannon and nothing else. You’ll need to land 50 final blows to finish this challenge. Scorch Cannons behave similarly to Special GLs; fire and hold to launch, release to prematurely detonate. Detonating a projectile mid-flight and landing a kill grants more progress. Use your Scorch Cannon to propel yourself across the arena, remember to detonate your projectiles mid-air, and consider using movement Exotics to make it easier to dodge incoming projectiles.

Ultimate Champion

Ultimate Champion: Defeat Champions in any Nightfall strike on Hero difficulty or higher. Earn bonus progress at higher difficulty tiers.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

You’ll need to defeat 60 Champions in Hero-tier Nightfalls for this challenge. If you want to speed this up, we highly recommend getting a team together and clearing Nightfalls on Legend. They’re worth more progress, more Champions spawn, and Legend isn’t much harder than Hero with a good team. If you can’t get a team together, just farm Hero-tier Nightfalls until you’re done. Hero has matchmaking enabled, so this is the best strategy for solo players.
