A number of great Final Fantasy titles are expected to arrive on Xbox Game Pass in 2021. A few games in the long-running and highly-adored RPG franchise are already available on the service. However, the new additions in 2021 will mean a majority of mainline Final Fantasy titles will be available on Xbox Game Pass by the end of the year.
Square Enix has shown a lot of support for Xbox Game Pass recently, adding a number of Final Fantasy games to the service alongside other popular titles like Dragon Quest XI S and the mainline Kingdom Hearts games. Most of the Final Fantasy games were meant for 2020, but several missed those previously-announced release dates. However, Square Enix has confirmed more Final Fantasy games are on the way to Xbox Game Pass this year.
It’s still a bit unclear if timed exclusives like the upcoming Final Fantasy 16 will ever arrive on Xbox Game Pass. Rumors of the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV coming to Xbox Game Pass have been swirling around lately, but remain unconfirmed. And with PlayStation’s timed exclusivity of Final Fantasy VII Remake ending in April, it could mean FF7 Remake is headed to Xbox soon as well. Despite all of these unknowns, there are still a number of great Final Fantasy titles confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2021.
All Final Fantasy Games Available On Xbox Game Pass
Currently, remasters of Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy IX are already available on Xbox Pass Game. Final Fantasy XV, the most recent mainline entry, is on the service now, too. In 2021, Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Remastered, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2, and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII are all supposed to come to Xbox Game Pass. This means, by the end of the year, the full list of Final Fantasy titles on Xbox Game Pass will be:
- Final Fantasy VII
- Final Fantasy VIII Remastered
- Final Fantasy IX
- Final Fantasy X HD
- Final Fantasy X-2 HD
- Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
- Final Fantasy XIII
- Final Fantasy XIII-2
- Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
- Final Fantasy XV
This is exciting news for Final Fantasy fans, and it means most mainline Final Fantasy games will be on Xbox Game Pass by the end of the year. It remains to be seen if newer titles (or older ones) will make their ways to the service eventually. However, there’s a good chance more Final Fantasy games will come to Xbox Game Pass at some point – even if nothing else has been officially confirmed yet.
