Electronic Arts brought a lot of new gaming content to the table on July 22 thanks to the return of EA Play Live, the developer’s independent gaming showcase. Along with popular titles like Battlefield 2042 and Dead Space came a few other surprises, promising exciting content for EA fans in the near future.

EA was mostly absent from this year’s E3 Expo, although Battlefield 2042 did receive quite a bit of focus, as the publisher opted instead to host its own show in the form of EA Play Live. In addition to the main event, EA also hosted four spotlight events leading up to the 40 minute showcase, which focused on everything from FIFA’s HyperMotion technology to the future of FPS games.

There were several notable exclusions from this year’s EA Play Live. Two upcoming BioWare games, Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age 4, were both confirmed to not be in attendance earlier in June. Skate was also largely missing from the presentation, although developers did confirm that they were working on the game. Despite these absences, though, there were several large announcements brought to the table at EA Play Live 2021. Here’s a brief overview of what games were featured.
